The JBL Challenge

Its been an interesting couple of months for most of us. We've gone from disliking Bradshaw, to hating him, to wanting him burned alive in front of his children(I know, he doesn't have any, lucky us). His character has done so many completely horrid acts and said so many "wrong" things that were beginning to question him as a person in real life.

I know one thing that really gets to me: the amount of PR that we have been giving him. He's right about one thing: We can't stop talking about him. And its obvious that bad PR is not going to stop us from seeing him. My goal, pretty much, is to make it so that I don't even have to see JBL on my TV screen.

The John Bradshaw Layfield Challenge

I challenge every single person who reads this thread to stop talking about JBL. Stop reacting to the things he does. Stop Booing him. The only thing this guy deserves is what X-Pac got in his last days with the WWE: complete silence. This won't be easy, even for me, as I love to hate the guy. But since bad PR isn't going to help us, perhaps silence will.

Eberybodys face should look just like this when they see him: :|

Its the only thing I can think of. Reps for everyone whos man(or woman) enough to do this.

Joe Kerr 06-21-2004 05:31 PM

I already do that. Bradshaws matches are usaly time to get something o snack on or a drink. To bad that Eddie is going to be punished for Bradshaws actions.

Loose Cannon 06-21-2004 05:32 PM

I do this every week. I don't want him burned alive. WTF? Who cares what he's done. It's just a TV show.

Anybody Thrilla 06-21-2004 05:33 PM

He's really not that bad of a heel. He's not that good of a wrestler, but he's not that bad of a heel. I don't watch SmackDOWN! too much anyway, so I guess I'm not contributing to his cause.

Favre4Ever 06-21-2004 05:40 PM

Woah now, when i said burned alive I was kidding LC....cough...

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 05:57 PM

I dunno. I'm writing in to the sponsirs, asking if they want a Naziselling their products.

Hopefully, they're chickenshit enough to put pressure on the WWE.

And JBL's the perfect pissbreak.

.44 Magdalene 06-21-2004 06:24 PM

I don't get Smackdown. *Shrug.*

FourFifty 06-21-2004 06:28 PM

<font color=cyan>I'm sorry, but someone that lame needs to be talked about, and made fun of. I don't think I have the will power to bite my tounge. He's just... Heil JBL! Seriously, it was a stupid mistake on his part and I shall make fun of him for it.

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 06:29 PM

Plus, it wasn't silence that got him fired from CNBC.

parkmania 06-21-2004 06:32 PM

But, as Vince says, cheer me, boo me, I don't care. As long as I'm getting a reaction from you, I'm happy.

Kane Knight 06-21-2004 06:40 PM

If JBL's happy to be out of a job at CNBC, then it's a win-win sitch. If Vince is happy that he closed out a market, and will likely see lower buy ins for the PPV, then he's an idiot, but it's his choice.

Cooler Tom Schuler sets mode +i (JBL)

The CyNick 06-21-2004 08:43 PM

I think he's a goof, but he's entertaining on TV.

I <3 Negros 06-21-2004 08:50 PM

I'm going to tell you guys the exact same thing you told me about Triple H a couple of years ago. He's a heel you're supposed to hate him.

Xero 06-21-2004 08:52 PM

An easier way to handle this is if enough people change the channle whenever Bradshaw is on... WWE would react if a good portion of watchers changes the channle until he's off...

Or we could boycot any PPV he's on... But they'd prolly just blame the buy rates on Eddie and give Bradshaw the title :shifty:

At least Trips is subtle about his Nazism.

Goldbird 06-21-2004 11:36 PM

We are supposed to hate and boo heels, and JBL is trying to be 1, albeit using many desperate ways. I suppose the silent treatment works best on heels like JBL :)

c4g2 06-22-2004 01:22 AM

JBL is successful as a heel.

Am i the only one who likes X-Pac? :shifty:

Yup.

Then again, I'm a fan of David Arquette's wrestling, so who am I to judge?

Yes, yes you are. :|

Cooler Tom Schuler 06-22-2004 04:49 AM

Well, I don't "like" like him, if that's what you mean...

big_bluto 06-22-2004 05:41 AM

JBL is a scum-slurping big-gobbed arsehole.
He's done a great job being a heel, and taken it further than I thought him possible of doing.
Surprised me there.
However, the simple fact of the matter is he is an irresponsible, blinkered biggot, who believes that the world owes him.
Fu</>ck him!
[/RANT]

I already turn over the TV whenever JBL appears on screen, however I really like the idea of an informal ban on JBL being mentioned on this site.

Can't we get the mods to add JBL, Bradshaw and Layfield to the sweary word list suck as fu</>ck, sh</>it, nig</>ger, etc, so that it can't be typed easily.
Added to that is an instant neg rep from everyone for using his name within a post?

I like that idea!
