So, who actually gives a crap about Tim Henman and/or tennis

poll 2 cum

I don't mind wathing tennis like once a year on holiday when the only TV channel you get is Eurosport.

Rob 06-25-2004 11:32 PM

I'll be supporting him. He actually has an excellent chance this year. It will be him or a certain Aussie or Swiss player that wins it.

Doink 06-26-2004 07:31 AM

i like watching tennis, couldnt give a flying f**k about henman

Goldbird 06-26-2004 08:02 AM

I like tennis more than I like Anna Kournikova.

91 06-26-2004 08:02 AM

I'm always rooting for Henman, but since he has such a habit of going behind to a rank outsider before clawing a victory, I can never watch. I'd always maintained in the past that his best chance was the year he lost to Ivanisevic, but after the French Open, I'm willing to give him an outside chance. Mind you, I said Roddick at the start of the tournament - he still in it?

LK 06-26-2004 01:35 PM

I support Henman and I think he has a chance this year particularly after his form in the French Open but the favourite has to be Federer to is looking unbeatable although a part of that could be because his first two games were against guys that offered no competition to him.

Yeah Roddick is still in, he's on course to meet Henman in the semi's I think.

(Assuming Henman gets past Philippoussis in the 4th round :$)

I reckon Federer will win :o

Wengerland 06-27-2004 04:40 PM

Henman's not looked too great so far :( :$

Name me one year he's breezed past everybody on his way to the semis.

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-27-2004 06:34 PM

I think you guys should be supporting your main mang Greg Rusedski.

Fair enough, but i swear he doesn't lose his serve as much as he has done so far, especially today.

And Rusedski lost a 2-1 lead to lose to Schuettler (sp?) :(

Ian 06-27-2004 07:01 PM

He's got those high expectations that are heaped on everyone who is English/British and to be honest he's overrated.

Always support Rusedski mate. Even though he sucks.

Cactus Sid 06-29-2004 07:13 PM

I always watch it, I couldn't give a rats ass who wins, just as long as I'm entertained, and the Williams sisters aren't in the final.

SuperSlim 06-29-2004 08:47 PM

Tennis is cool but I don't care about that guy

toxic rooster 06-29-2004 10:48 PM

Henman beat the Poo.

How funny was that outburst?

"I should be giving YOU a warning. Because you SUCK."

Reminds me of the McEnroe days :(.

Lleyton will still probably win though :-\. And Williams lost to that Sperm chick :o.

BCWWF 06-29-2004 11:36 PM

Mens tennis is ugly lately

toxic rooster 06-30-2004 12:08 AM

Tennis in general is ugly lately, because all the big names want to pursue other careers and stuff.

The Williams sisters want to pursue fashion.
Phillippoussis is big on soccer (football)
Hewitt wants to become an Aussie footballer
Roddick is doing that reality show or something (so I've heard)

etc.

The Mackem 06-30-2004 10:27 AM

Turkey!

yianni 06-30-2004 12:11 PM

Naw don't like tennis. Thus don't give a crap about Henman either.

Cactus Sid 06-30-2004 12:14 PM

Well Ancic is annihilating him.

Wengerland 06-30-2004 12:32 PM

Flipping hell :|

Straight sets loss to an unseeded player, Ancic did well but i'm guessing Henman's not 50 odd places higher ranked for no reason.Could have fooled me today though.

The Mackem 06-30-2004 12:39 PM

He got eliminated?

Turkey :wavesad:

Wengerland 06-30-2004 12:41 PM

What is it with us and quarter finals? :'(

Y2Ant 06-30-2004 03:19 PM

At least we can laugh at Lleyton Hewitt when he does the job to Federer

toxic rooster 06-30-2004 05:50 PM

I never forgave him for doing that terrible toilet paper ad :(

Wengerland 06-30-2004 06:46 PM

At least Hewitt lost to the best player in the world :(

Federer/Roddick final would be the goods.

Cactus Sid 07-03-2004 12:32 PM

HELL YEAH

Maria Sharapova beat Serena Williams 6-1, 6-4 :D

Doink 07-03-2004 12:58 PM

LOL^

The Mackem 07-04-2004 04:23 PM

I must marry Sharapova.

Wengerland 07-04-2004 04:24 PM

Federer beat Roddick to win the mens, incidently.

Lara Emily 07-07-2004 04:36 AM

I love Tennis. Haven't been much of a fan of Men's Tennis since the days of Jim Courrier though. I'm really much more interested in Women's tennis. Clijsters (sp?), Henin-Hardenne and Sharapova are probably the one's I admire the most right now, with my all time favorite being Seles. Courrier and Seles were dominate both amazing to watch.

Rob 07-07-2004 03:23 PM

Courier was dominate in the era of Pete Sampras? Must have missed that one.
