NHL Draft Day

Anyone else watching?

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:14 PM

Alexander Ovechkin gets picked first.

Penner 06-26-2004 01:18 PM

We knew that was gonna happen.

What do you think of Washington taking them rather than trading away their pick?

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:20 PM

Great move by Washington. They won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Rebuilding processes are nerve racking.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:21 PM

Two Russians in a row.

Penner 06-26-2004 01:22 PM

Isn't it the first time?

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:22 PM

Yep.

Penner 06-26-2004 01:22 PM

Yevgeny Malkin gets picked by Pittsburgh, even though they had their hearts set on Ovechkin.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:26 PM

Cam Barker - Blackhawks.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:30 PM

Carolina gets the next pick. Andrew Ladd.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:37 PM

Phoenix chooses Blake Wheeler.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:38 PM

Rangers pick next...

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:39 PM

They pick goalie Al Montoya.

asphyXy 06-26-2004 01:43 PM

Glen Sather on goaltenders: "What's wrong with having two or three of them?"

Asshole, you haven't had one goaltender since Richter.

Sather has to go.

MoRcHeEbA 06-26-2004 01:55 PM

Phoenix made a goofy pick, they could have traded down about 15 spots and still got the player they wanted.

He's from Minnesota.

A kid from my high school could very well be drafted next spring... :naughty:

Does anybody know if Gino Guyer has been drafted to a team? I think he's a junior on the Gophers next season..I saw him play in the High School State Tournament, and I always hear his name on Minnesota broadcasts like he scores a lot or something?

Couple of PG Cougars were taken. To follow the likes of Brewer, Chara, Betts, Hammuis, Petrovicky, Bouck, Hunter, etc. ...Making it harder for me to hate certain teams

My sisters boyfriend was drafted today in the 8th round by the oilers

The guy the Yotes picked in the 1st round is like 3 weeks younger than me, and still has a year of HS left. :|

Kapoutman 06-28-2004 01:51 AM
