WWE's new brilliant way to save itself

Source: www.411mania.com/wrestling

The feeling backstage right now is that WWE is opting to give more TV time to the guys who are already over rather than waste time trying to get new acts over. They are also trying to connect most of their top guys and storylines to Triple H.

----------

You all know i'm a pretty positive guy, but that just pisses me off.

Kane Knight 06-29-2004 08:33 PM

So there's a new brilliant excuse for the same behaviour that's done them so well in the last decade.

LMAO! That couldn't have been more blatantly "F-U Internet fans" if you'd built a whole two month feud between a main eventer and a totally undeserving jerkoff and then made the jerkoff champion! Oh wait...

.44 Magdalene 06-29-2004 09:38 PM

Ahh. Explains why I've been seeing a helluvalot more of HHH on RAW. Eugene and HHH. Kane and Michaels and HHH. Two weeks ago, it seemed like HHH was on 80% of the show. Agh. I didn't totally hate the guy before, but I'm really getting tired of seeing him.

6to1 06-29-2004 09:42 PM

so if they are linking all storys to trips did he father litas baby

I hear he's also the Higher Power to which Mordecai answers.

Wildcat789 06-29-2004 10:42 PM

He was also the guy that JBL heil'ed in Munich

I <3 Negros 06-29-2004 10:47 PM

I wonder who's idea this was? HMMM

LOL That explains the iron Cross, and KoOS' fetish. ;)

6to1 06-30-2004 12:31 AM

did trips run the cement truck too

OssMan 06-30-2004 12:38 AM

wow.

James Steele 06-30-2004 12:38 AM

No lita did...

She also setup the Bullrope Turnbuckle lights.

:shifty:

The Naitch 06-30-2004 01:05 AM

Apparently, Triple H is also set to win the Cruiserweight title from Rey around Unforgiven. It's gonna be a mask vs. hair match. And Trips an't gonna be cutting his hair anytime soon.

Londoner 06-30-2004 08:45 AM

You know i wouldn't usually think this was true, but from what weve seen lately with kane/HHH being involved in multiple storylines, it makes sense. Way to kill the future of the company!

The Mackem 06-30-2004 09:33 AM

I don't like the way they've been buidling new acts lately. They've been stealing HHH's air time. Especially Mordecai and Kenzo Susuki.

Sephiroth 06-30-2004 09:37 AM

I got a strong feeling Trips is going to win the belt back at Vengeance.

Ferocious 06-30-2004 09:37 AM

HHH is goign to be Fucking Kenzo Suzuki's mistress within weeks, another new storyline.

You know, this idea to have EVERYTHING revolving around the H's could be great... until he retires and they find they've not got a single person on the entire roster who's over anymore (except Jericho, but we all know he's used to getting shafted) and ratings slide even more.

On the plus side, if Triple H feuding with everyone else means that his run with Shawn Michaels comes to a close, I may be all for it.

91 06-30-2004 11:13 AM

On another plus, I can exclusively announce that they're about to reveal that Triple H drove the hummer, ignited the camera in Hogans face, played the 'I Quit' soundbite, raised the briefcase, dropped the cinder block on Austin, tripped the lights during Rock/Hogan II, atacked Edge backstage, prevented the devenomising of the king cobra and was responsible for G-TV. I guess we can close the book on every wrestling mystery in history then.

c4g2 06-30-2004 11:25 AM

Well, I guess that 'I still remember' note was sent by HHH after Goldust took one of his bottles and bottles of mineral water 2 years ago...

In the interest of fairness...

Is this anything new? The reason they tend to slump is because they've had a history of building around specific people.

With the Rock and Austin Gone (While Rock isn't totally, he's not a regular), and Lesnar leaving, with Angle having back problems, they have found themselves with a large void to fill. Natrurally, they turn to....

...Triple H?

Which doesn't even need to wait until he retires and nobody's over. What happens when his next injury happens, and there's STILL nobody on the roster anyone gives a fuck about?

Or if a movie company DOES take an interest in him?

91 06-30-2004 12:59 PM

It almost makes you want to pine for the days of the 80's when EVERYONE was over, or so it at least seemed.

Kane Knight 06-30-2004 01:05 PM

Almost.

Or at least for the days where they didn't put the burden on only one person.

Ferocious 06-30-2004 01:09 PM

Smackdown should go back to an 80's style using loads of outrageous 'cartooned up' gimmicks. It's the only thing that can save them now.

Long John Cena the pirate,
Booker Shango the Voodoo Master,
Rey Mysterio the evil clown,
Rikishi the sumo wrestler,
JBL the foreign army leader,
Rene Dupree the mountie
RVD the escaped convict in Orange 'Prison wear'

I hope it happens soon.

Kane Knight 06-30-2004 01:12 PM

Rey Rey should wear a fishbowl and play mind games.

I'm intrigued by Renee as a mountie. Will he ride Fifi into battle?

91 06-30-2004 01:12 PM

Don't forget Charlie Haas the viking and Rockabilly.

Kane Knight 06-30-2004 01:17 PM

I still think that charlie should do a rap gimmick...

Haas Haas baby...

Ferocious 06-30-2004 01:21 PM

HB Cade could move to Smackdown aswell.

Ferocious 06-30-2004 01:23 PM

Victoria as a nurse, Trish as an Air Hostess, Torrie as a secretary. Damn outrageous gimmicks would be cool.

AM I the only one who wants to see Chavo come to the ring with a poncho, a sombrero and a half-chewed cigar?

You forgot one thing. Triple H was Mr. America.

LOL @ the Spiderman ref

Doesn't Rene already ride Fifi because he's French? :shifty:

.44 Magdalene 06-30-2004 04:46 PM

HHH also killed Pepper, was the fake Undertaker and spent all of ECW's money. :shifty:

But yeah, 80's gimmicks would kick ass. As for the comment about Chavo...three words: The Guerrero Bandito. It could work. Wacky antics would indeed ensue.

Also, :y: Spiderman reference. Nice.

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-30-2004 05:12 PM

LOL!

Ferocious 06-30-2004 05:28 PM

I think HHH also Instigated Austin being run down. :shifty:

V 06-30-2004 06:06 PM

Triple H is katie vick
