WWE Cracking Down On E-Feds, Bradshaw Not Respected, more
WWE is reportedly cracking down on e-fed websites, claiming the feds are infringing on WWE copyrights. Some rumblings going around state that WWE may be considering its own form of "fantasy wrestling."
Despite his veteran status and his title, most SmackDown wrestlers do not see Bradshaw as a lockerroom leader. "Not that he's not a likeable guy, though. He's just not particularly respected as a guy to head the charge, so to speak," says one wrestler. Cant be surprising that the boys dont respect Bradshaw as the champ because it a joke that he got the title. Ive said before I dont think he's the worst champ in WWE history, but at the same time in no way did he deserve the title, so I can understand where the boys are coming from.

There's only one thing that can stop these websites and that's Brock Lesnar but Vince doesn't have him. Otherwise, we can't even be on the net without fearing our lives that he would come and get us!

I suppose ultimately, the WWE would like to claim copyright infringement everytime someone writes the name of a WWE superstar w/o it's permission. It's their plan to get rid of wrestling web sites... if they get sued for members writing "Kurt Angle" or "Bradshaw" w/o permission, they can't operate!!!

I dont think the WWE has rights to the name Kurt Angle....I mean after all it is his real name. If vince had rights to Kurt Angle any time he was mentioned for the the Olympics Vince would get a chunk of money.
Most wrestling Websites are fantasy sites on how we feel the storyline should go. If vince had half a brain he would encourage these sites and steal the ideas he likes. We win he wins Nuff Said! |

E-feds?! I certainly hope this isn't true. I dun even know what an E-fed actually does...that would infringe on copyrights. There's no money in even trying to protect itself from something like that.

I think the reporter may be confusing copyrights and trademarks.
In either case, they have very little case. If they were planning on E-Fedding themselves, they could complain about market confusion, I suppose. It's pretty moronic tho. |
