MoRcHeEbA 07-09-2004 04:42 AM

RCA/Lyra 256 meg upgraded to 1 gig storage... it's alright not that great, I should have bought an ipod :(

DegenerationY 07-09-2004 05:12 AM

The Destroyer 07-09-2004 05:14 AM

Yeah I have the exact same one. It's pretty rockin'.

DegenerationY 07-09-2004 05:32 AM

Yeah, suits my needs super well. No complaints here. I just need better headphones

road doggy dogg 07-09-2004 05:36 AM

Yeah mine are pretty shit. I need to stop buying headphones from Sony. :o They break too easily.

Downunder 07-09-2004 07:30 AM

I'm looking at getting a Creative Muvo.

Something like £175 for 4GB. More than i'll ever need.

My current one. Bought it for £100 in 2002, alright when it was released, I have waaay too many MP3s for it now. I have to reduce the quality to 56kpbs to fit enough music on.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...853153-8357240
The one I want to get. But no job = no MP3 player. :(

what headphones are you buying? I've had a pair of Sony headphones that have lasted me on the upwards of 3 years...

Gonzo 07-09-2004 01:07 PM

Yeah, I found out that for like $20 more bucks I could have gotten the next one up with double the memory. I have a lot of music so I have to just remove and add songs depending on what I am in the mood for, which is a pretty easy task.

I checked it out and I see I could have gotten a lot better with $200...

Got a minidisc player.

Looking at getting the new minidisc player, something like 1GB per disc.

Kane Knight 07-09-2004 02:37 PM

Archos Jukebox Recorder 10.

ood--Lots of file space.

Bad--Lack of support, not enough file space for a music whore.

PorkSoda 07-09-2004 03:31 PM

Where can you get one?

Well, the ones I've been using the past few years were the MDR-CD280 ones. I had a pair that lasted about 18 months before breaking on me... I liked them, so I bought another pair of the exact ones. Those lasted about a yaer or so. Not a short lifespan by any means, but annoying having to shell out $40 every few months for a new pair

Maybe your ears are the problem.....

MoRcHeEbA 07-10-2004 05:36 AM

mine is actually good, it just is shitty at sorting the songs

Blitz 07-17-2004 04:47 PM

I've got an Archos Jukebox FM Recorder, with 20 gigs of space. It's currently being repaired, though...

I'd really like to get an iRiver or a Nomad.

BCWWF 07-17-2004 05:35 PM

I've got a 20 gig iPod, can't complain one bit...

Actually making sure all of my bands and songs were spelled correctly took a helluva long time, but it was worth it

Gonzo 07-17-2004 09:51 PM

I am nit picky about having spelling and such correct. I try to keep it in order.

I've that one too brilliant thing the only thing I dislike about it is you can't set up a playlist while you're out and aboot cause you've to do that on the computer

Mr. Monday Morning 07-20-2004 03:08 PM

Got an old (now it is anyway :o ) Creative 64mb MuVo.

Looking at getting an iPod but the more I read the more I think I'd be better off with an alternative.

iRiver > iPod

BCWWF 07-21-2004 06:15 AM

I have no problems with my iPod, it has great sound and great display, 5,000 songs, I can't ask for more. Its not even that big.

I looked at that iRiver one and it looks like it has a really small screen, wouldn't that make browsing really tough? I have probably 1,000 artists, that would be a bitch.

Jonster 07-21-2004 09:10 PM

40Gb iPod, no problems either.

Xero 07-21-2004 10:24 PM

I want to get one soon...

I want to get an iPod, but I've heard that when an iPod's battery dies (And cant be recharged anymore), you either have to get a new one or send it to Apple and pay $100 for a new battery or a new one... I heard the batteries last 3-5 years... Anyone heard about that?

I've heard of such. But whatever they are nice. I'm still working on that Free iPod thing.

Got a Creative Zen Xtra 30GB.

It's awesome.

#BROKEN Hasney 08-24-2004 04:49 PM

I got a Creative Nomad Jukebox 3 20gb.

They're only about £70 now, so it's kind of a bargain, even if it is the size of a CD player :(
