Six of "the best". Quiz time.
Got a bit bored so I thought I would throw out an old fashioned quiz for you guys. Six random questions for the kids. First to answer them all correctly wins some sh</>itty prize or Triple A will give you a boat or something.
If you are going to answer the quiz then for God sake try and answer all 6 questions. Not 2 and then quit. And only I will be confirming the winner so play on until I say there is one. That is all. If this goes over well, I'll try and do more with themes or something. 1 - What's up with wrestlers trying to get into movies? And why to they always suck? (That doesn't count as two questions). Many have tried to break that Hollywood barrier and many have failed. I was intending on going out to see Walking Tall tonight but I ended up being lazy and staying in. I caught another film on TV called "Liar, Liar" which was originally meant to have a scene with a former world champion in it. Who was that former champion? 2 - Seinfeld is on now. SOOOOOO beauty! :D I swear Frank Costanza is a comic genius. His real life son once did a wrestling angle. What did he do? 3 - Man I miss WCW. Even when it sucked, there was at least the comic material. Now it's just sad watching WWE turn into a worse company than they ever were. The Monday Night Wars were the sh</>it! Anyway, name the two men who did announcing on both Raw and Nitro. 4 - Just looked at my work van and the nice dent in the side. Trying to think of a way to say someone hit it so obviously the car influenced wrestling angles are in the old hat rack. Remember how long that damn hummer angle went on/off for? Who drove the hummer? 5 - While my interest in WWE has been fading, it has sparked a more intense interest in Mixed Martial Arts. Apparently, both Nathan Jones and Sean O'Haire are considering trying to get into the UFC. I have to think the UFC would be stupid not to explore this option. Especially since former WWF superstars have fought in the Octagon. Name the 4 men who have competed in the 8 sided cage? 6 - Since I can't think of another, we'll just end it by asking who did Eric Bischoff originally plan on taking from the WWF to be the 3rd Outsider along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall before going with Hulk Hogan? Since there were at least two attempted raids on WWF talent, I'll take either name. |
Wow, I curious to know who WCW had in mind as some other possible "3rd Outsiders."
BTW Rob: You need to bring back your Column and do like a "Did you Know" thing where you would write about stuff most of us didn't know about in wrestling. |
1. "Liar, Liar" was originally meant to have a scene with a former world champion in it. Who was that former champion?
Answer: Macho Man Randy Savage 2 - Seinfeld is on now. SOOOOOO beauty! I swear Frank Costanza is a comic genius. Frank Costanaza's (Jerry Stiller) real life son once did a wrestling angle. What did he do? Answer: Jarrett called Ben Stiller into the ring. Jarrett asked Stiller who his favorite superstar was. Stiller replied with the puppies, referring to Debra's chest, which angered Jarrett. Jarrett attacked Stiller, who was rescued by D-Lo Brown. 3. Name the two men who did announcing on both Raw and Nitro. Answer: Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan 4. Who drove the hummer? Answer: Assuming you mean the Goldberg Hummer thing...Eric Bischoff was the physical body in the Hummer at the time. 5. Name the 4 men who have competed in the 8 sided cage? Answer: Ken Shamrock (UFC Champ/WWF IC Champ and NWA World Champ), Ron Waterman (UFC Champ/WWF Development talent...released), Dan Severn (UFC Champ/NWA World Champ), Tank Abott (UFC Champ/WCW Talent) 6. Who did Eric Bischoff originally plan on taking from the WWF to be the 3rd Outsider along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall before going with Hulk Hogan? Answer: Bret Hart |

RAW: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Vince McMahon Nitro: Bobby Heenan, Tony Schivanoe, and Larry Zbysko 4.Nash 5. Ken Shamrock,Tank Abbott, Dan Severn, and Tito Ortiz? 6. 123 Kid. |
1. Rick Rude
2. Jeff Jarrett 3. Bobby Heenan and Steve McMichael 4. Eric Bischoff 5. Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Nathan Jones, and Ron Waterman 6. HBK |
The One had the answers for #'s 1, 2, 4, 5, & 6.
For question #3, regarding the announcers: It should actually be Bobby Heenan and Steve "Mongo" McMichael. Mongo cov- ered commentary on WWF RAW, and then went on to be one of the Nitro commentators. |
Oops, didn't see King of Old School's post about Mongo.
My bad. |

Heenan did WWF commentary, but that wasn't the question. The question was what two have done RAW and NITRO commentary. I would put forward that Eric Bischoff would be an appropriate response, since he did Nitro for years, and has done commentary on a couple RAWs. |
Heenan did commentary on both RAW and NITRO.
I'm assuming we're talking about before the 'buyout' - because if not, then you'd have a list of Mongo, Heenan, Bischoff, Scott Hudson and a few others. Heenan would be a valid answer in either case though. |
