After doing a fair bit of research, i've scanned my system, ran some removal tools, looked for the files manually, and searched the registry and found no remnants of the infected files whatsoever.

Is it possible that the viruses are still there? I'm rather paranoid (especially with the keylogger) but nothing funny has happened like 6 hours since, so I dunno.

I've seen posts saying that the "access was denied" thing was the virus not letting you touch it, but i've also seen posts saying that it's Norton automatically deleting the file, preventing me from accessing it.

So could anyone who knows their stuff when it comes to all this help put my mind at ease? :$

I really need to know if everything is ok or if there's something else I need to do. Help would be very much appreciated.

Wait, do you have a keylogger installed at home and know it, or do you fear having a keylogger installed by a virus?

1) All your viruses were in Temporary Internet Files. Delete everything in that folder anyway, it's nothing important.

2) If you updated Norton Antivirus + your firewall, and ran spywares check, and it found nothing, everything is fine.

3) You can also go on Google, type the name of the viruses you got and check for the results from Mcafee or symantec. They usually get instructions to manually remove them.

Once you've done all of this, you should be fine.

Yeah i've done all that, I was worried that the viruses/keyloggers I got might still be there. :o

Thanks though.

Anything in the temporary internet files that has a virus you can straight out delete, it doesn't matter if it can't be repaired. It's not like it's a required system file or even anything you want to keep.

Yeah, the files were gone before I could delete them, I cleared out the temp files anyway.
