Best 1-2 Punch in the NBA?

Yeah I know there's already a NBA topic but I wanted to make a poll

DaveWadding 07-15-2004 08:31 PM

I'm biased. :$

The Miz 07-15-2004 08:32 PM

God dammit, right after I posted this I learned Carmelo and K-Mart would be on the same team next year.

The Miz 07-15-2004 08:39 PM

Hill is supposed to be Howard btw :o

Supreme Olajuwon 07-15-2004 09:13 PM

Melo and KMart but from the list I said Rasheed and Ben because that winning the NBA championship thing

Kris P Lettus 07-15-2004 09:30 PM

No Peja/Bibby??

BCWWF 07-15-2004 10:17 PM

I choose Artest and Jermaine, I don't think Spre is on the level of the other #2 guys, Wallace/Wallace and T-Mac/Yao are honorbale mentions

Loose Cannon 07-15-2004 10:19 PM

Nash/Marion in the lead

BCWWF 07-15-2004 10:20 PM

The Kings are kind of like the Wolves, as in its not just two players who really matter. Bibby, Peja, and Weber are all capable of fitting that catagory, just like next year Garnett, Hudson, and Spre (maybe Sam if he comes back strong, which is unlikely) are the same way.

I was thinking that but it just irked me not to see my boys on there..

:-\

The Miz 07-16-2004 12:22 AM

 @ 0's for the first 2

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-16-2004 01:04 AM

T-Mac and Yao maybe

I was picking that to be different, but hten I see 2 other people voted for the samething

Optik 07-16-2004 01:10 AM

Butler/Bryant is going to be sick...

Also want to see how Wade/O'Neal do...

Sam's lower body has nothing to do with how he plays his game. His hip surgery was a success, so next season if T-Hud stays healthy, Sam can become the closer he was meant to be, and score 20ppg by playing 15 minutes (the entire 4th quarter).

Spre is not a #2. It should be KG/Sam, or KG/Wally (if we're talking about Wally from his all-star season).

But yeah, it's basically KG/* is still better than most of the others. But alas, there is only one KG on the team, so I gotta vote for someone else. :(

BCWWF 07-16-2004 02:06 AM

I've read that Hud is supposed to be starting next season, with Sam as the 6th man and acting as the "microwave"

The Outlaw 07-16-2004 05:00 AM

Im not voting because I admit Im biased as hell. :o

BCWWF 07-17-2004 03:40 AM

Its kind of interesting that Marion and Nash were voted #1 in this poll

Yep. Hard to argue with the Wallaces, although a strong case could be made for Rip Hamilton in place of one of them. Either way, the Pistons are the best team in basketball, so it stands to reason that they'd have the best tandem.

BCWWF 07-17-2004 04:25 PM

Thats not true, if I am reading you right.

The Pistons have the best team yes, but Kobe and Shaq were a much better tandem than any two on the Pistons.

The Wolves have the best three-man, the Pistons the best 5...

DaveWadding 07-17-2004 04:28 PM

We're talking NOW chief...not last week.

ct2k 07-17-2004 05:28 PM

Said Garnett and Sprewell myself

The Outlaw 07-17-2004 07:01 PM

Ok, I lied.

Even NOW Wallace and Wallace are not the best 1-2 punch in the NBA. Scoring wise its not even close, the only thing they would have is defense. Overall the best 1-2 punch would be Jermaine and Artest, Duncan and Parker, or maybe Nash and Marion depending on how that turns out.

Gertner 07-23-2004 12:01 PM

No Kirlenko/ arroyo?

Reusse suggested it, and it's the best idea ever.

Sam can give us 20+ points off the bench, no problem. How the fuck can teams stop that, if Wally and Spree can put up their own 20?

CNM 07-24-2004 03:03 AM

Melo & K-Mart
