I never thought I'd be writing about that (spoiler now inside)
I dunno about you guys, but I like Batista and I like his chances at a good future in the WWE. I kinda hope they act on the reaction they got with him on Monday. He is a little rough as I said, but I think he would play the monster role better than anyone else the WWE has right now.
What do you people think of Batista, besides the fact that he is a hoss. |
He'd drown on his own. Evolution is the best thing for him.
|
He does a great job playing the enforcer role for Evolution.
The only knock on Batista is his wrestling ability and his age. The ladder can be forgiven, but Batista has shown himself to blow major spots. Hopefully, he can improve on his ring abilities soon. On the mic, Batista carries himself VERY well and his mannerisms are superb. Notice the look he gave when he flashed Eugene a thumbs up, instead of shaking his hand. Also, when he pushed Kane's head aside, or the time he stood face to face with Kane during the Battle Royal. Or the time he beat Tajiri just by choking him (just look at his expression while he was choking Tajiri). Batista isn't a chicken shit heel, and he doesn't ever back down. Fans can respect him for that, which is why the likely cheered him on Raw. Batista shouldn't be Evolution's job boy because that is the way he is being used in the last couple of weeks. Instead, let him continue his monster role. In all seriousness, I can imagine him as the WWE's version of the WCW Scott Steiner (when he was the Big Bad Botty Daddy). If a Evolution break up is to happen, look for Batista to get more over than any other member. I'm serious, the guy has great potential. http://tpww.net/forums/images/smilies/thumbup.gif |
If Evolution were to break up... Batista would be flat on his back. And he'd be doing it on Sunday Night Heat.
I like the guy and he does play the monster/enforcer really well. But there is no way the WWE could fit all 4 of Evolution into roles if they broke up. Triple H pretty much runs things... his spot is safe Ric Flair nuff said Randy Orton is he WWE's future |

He's been Evolutions job boy longer than that. He needs some heel heat. I'm not able to hate his character. |
RB, in my Raw Review, I was high on Batista as well. Notice the crowd starting to pop for him more and more.

I was right. :p What does everyone think now about him? |
Apparently Batista is from washington, which explains the huge pops, but even in other cities he gets good pops because he's with Evolution and he kills everyone.
As for his future, well he has the advantage of being huge, so Vince will give him chance after chance to get over. Maybe they should tie him to Orton for a while, and then down the road, say Summerslam next year he turns on Orton, and they work a program over the World Title. But whatever they decide to do with him, he'll at least do alright. The only problem I see with him right now is that he's inconsistant. Some nights he looks great, but then others he looks like crap. Once he can find his groove, he should have a long future with the comapny (injuries aside). Way down the line, Batista-Lesnar would probably do well at Mania. |
I like Batista.......but a lot of other people stand out right now. Batista just isn't that interesting. Its Brock Lesnar all over again, except not as quickly and with worse mic skills. And when I first heard Brock speak, I thought that was as bad as it could get.
BTW Batista occationally works out at my gym,"Gold's Gym" in Ashburn, VA, which is 30-45 min away from D.C. |
Batista just needs more time and practice. Batista is a pleasant suprise from Evolution. He may not be the next "World Champion", but if Evolution breaks up he has a shit at the future. It just depends on how much he can improve from now to then.

No.... HHH was either bending over or on his knees :shifty:

I like him, personally. If he cleaned up his moves a bit, maybe threw in a few moves to distinguish himself from the other generic big guys...he could make it. He's big and all, but he seems to have his own look. He's distinguished in his appearance, he just needs to kick his moveset up a notch before Evolution breaks apart. Not a huge fan of him now, but I could imagine myself marking out for Batista sometime in the future.
He has alot more potential than people give him credit for, I'll say that much. |
I have kind of grown on Batista in the last few weeks. He hasn't botched as much, and his squashing of guys like Benoit and Jericho have elevated him. He's been on a tear as of late, and since the WWE is a hoss breeding ground, then Vince has scored right here. I agree that he needs to add some unique moves to his arsenal (Lesnar had the Brock Lock and the F-5). I don't see him becoming a World Champ EVER, but he could probably be an upper midcarder and occasional main eventer if he improves.
|
If Batista would be a little more creative with his move set I'll like him more.
I do agree that he's best cut out for the monster role though. |
Being with Evolution has seriously improved his wrestling ability since he first debuted. I love him to death. |

Sir. So what does everyone think of Batista and his push? |
I don't like it. I would rather listen to a Triple H promo then watcha Batista match. The turn was done beatifully, but I just don't like Batista.
