Week 17 WOOOO (subtitle: The Patriots are gonna win the Super Bowl this year)

31-0 with 10 minutes left over Buffalo

yikes

Nobody will be able to beat them at New England in the playoffs

also I hope Jamal Lewis gets 0 yards rushing tomorrow and the Steelers better ****ing win

Supreme Olajuwon 12-27-2003 04:14 PM

"Hi I'm Tom Brady. Dont mind me I'm just gonna go throw 4 TD passes and no INTs"

BCWWF 12-27-2003 04:30 PM

Wow

Optik 12-27-2003 04:39 PM

Impressive win, but I dont think they will win the Superbowl this year.

Yashamaga 12-27-2003 04:54 PM

pritty hot sig

Yeah the Ravens better lose tonight. Out of everyone in the league, I think they're the only ones that can really knock the Pats out of the playoffs.

btw, the score today was identical to the first game of the season, just in our favor now

Gertner 12-27-2003 05:22 PM

I'm once again reminded how much I hate the 49ers. The one time I've ever wanted them to win a game and they blow it.

MoRcHeEbA 12-27-2003 08:46 PM

if the Bronco's win tomorrow I will be happy now :)

Crimson 12-27-2003 09:27 PM

So either the Vikings or Packers gotta lose in order for Seattle to get in?
I don't see the Vikings losing to the Cardinals. And the Packers , I guess they have it tougher with Denver, but they don't really have anything to play for except for a 5 or 6 seed. I think the Bengals have more of a chance of getting in.

The Miz 12-27-2003 09:30 PM

if minnesota and green bay both win, but dallas loses to new orleans (i think that's who they're playing), seahwks are in. if min, gb, and dal all win, then it gets complicated. :(

Not quite, if Min, GB, and Dal all win the Seahawks are out. That situation puts Min as the division winner, and a tie between GB and Sea. GB beat Sea in the reg season, there's the tie breaker.

The sitch where it gets complicated is if GB and Min win then Dallas loses. That makes a 3 way tie between GB, Sea, and Dallas. If the Seahawks strength of victory is higher than the Cowboys then they can make the playoffs. New England and Philly winning today increased the Seahawks strenght of victory. Certain games tomorrow, including the Pitt/Bal game, can further increase that.

Long story short, if you are a Sea fan you need to cheer for the Saints in the early game and the Broncos in the late game. If GB loses then the Dallas game has no effect, but I think GB will put up a pretty big fight at home in December against the Broncs.

After saying all that, all I have left to say is....

GO PACKERS!!

RoXer 12-28-2003 12:46 AM

I smell an upset. Cardinals>Vikings by 10.

AareDub 12-28-2003 12:47 AM

I hope you're right :)

#1-norm-fan 12-28-2003 01:25 AM

lol. It felt good to root against San Fran again. :D

And I wouldn't be suprised if Arizona beat Minnesota but this week 17 is gonna be pretty unpredictable. All these teams with nothing to play for, you don't know how they will handle it.

I do think Green Bay will win tomorrow though and Detroit may just beat St. Louis. The playoffs should look like this...

NFC Wild Card:
Seattle, Green Bay, or Minnesota @ Carolina
Dallas @ Minnesota or Green Bay

NFC Byes:
Philadelphia
St. Louis

AFC Wild Card:
Denver @ Indianapolis
Tennessee @ Baltimore or Cincinnati

AFC Byes:
New England (1)
Kansas City (2)

My pick is St. Louis over Philadelphia in the NFC Championship, Indianapolis over New England in the AFC Championship, Indy over St. Louis in the Super Bowl.

road doggy dogg 12-28-2003 01:34 AM

Yeah I think it would be utterly hilarious if Arizona just randomly won tomorrow.

If that happens though, and GB wins, is there a chance of Minnesota taking a wildcard spot?

#1-norm-fan 12-28-2003 01:38 AM

Nope. If Minnesota loses, they fall to 9-7. Seattle is 10-6 and therefore would get the final wild card spot. With Dallas having the other of course.

MoRcHeEbA 12-28-2003 01:51 AM

Yeah it's cause we all know that no matter how great the guy is, he will never ever win a playoff game.

MoRcHeEbA 12-28-2003 04:07 AM

welcome you sarcasm  I actually think he'll win a playoff game this year. Then lose his next one

#1-norm-fan 12-28-2003 04:14 AM

You just better hope he doesn't play KC in the 2nd round.

MoRcHeEbA 12-28-2003 04:26 AM

I hope KC gets far, I bet at the beginning of the year that it was gonna be KC and Seattle :(c'mon people

AareDub 12-28-2003 11:12 AM

Kansas City getting a couple of losses at the end of the season may help them out a little. I think they needed a reality check. Now that they realize they aren't so unstoppable they might be able to win a game. However, I don't see them as a Super Bowl contender. My pick several weeks ago was Rams/Pats part 2, it looks like I at least called the two number one seeds. I bet the precentage of both 1 seeds going to the Super Bowl is pretty low though.

Yashamaga 12-28-2003 12:06 PM

as was mine

Y2Ant 12-28-2003 12:37 PM

So if Minnesota get into the Wildcard, they have Dallas or Carolina?

Hmmm

Supreme Olajuwon 12-28-2003 01:18 PM

Rudiiiiiii

Crimson 12-28-2003 01:19 PM

I hope my Cowboys play the Vikes in the 1st round. Better them than playing at Greenbay. Or I wouldnt mind playing the Panthers again, but it'd be tough to beat them twice.
