Super Mario Bros. 3 in 11 minutes
 

I just downloaded the video of the Japanese video game champion. He beats SMB3 in under 11 minutes. Sure, he uses the whistles, but seeing him just plow through the 8th world is amazing. Just search Super Mario Bro 3 on kazaa or something. It's really worth it.

I actually saw it just a day or two ago. Freakin' insane, isn't it?

By cheating, do you mean using the whistles? Or some Game Genie thingy that I didn't see?

He is using an invinsibility cheat.

Ah ok. I just thought his jumps were REALLY well timed. Now I see.

The first couple of times, you might think it's a glitch or something, but he gets clipped enough times that it's pretty clear he's not getting hurt by things that SHOULD kill him.

Same here. But now that I realize that he used an invincibility cheat, it's nothing special, I guess.

I bet he couldn't beat "the Wizard" though :)

note how when he uses the first warp whistle it goes to the bit with 2-3-4 on, then he used it again and goes straight to 8?

That is actually one of the "secrets" of SMB3. If you use a warp whistle when already on the warp paths, you can go to L8.

Man I havent seen that movie in forever. Gotta do some searching for it on dvd.
