Some Random Wrestling News

All of the credit goes to PWInsider.com and Dave Scherer

As I mentioned on my Elite audio hotline yesterday, the upcoming movie "The Marine" was originally conceived with Steve Austin in mine as the lead character. After Austin left WWE, there were conversations with Vince McMahon and Austin about him still doing the role. When it became clear that Austin would not be involved, they looked inside the company for someone else to take the role. Both John Cena and Kurt Angle wanted the role, but Cena won the spot over Angle.

Matt L. sent this one. ... I thought this was kind of funny. I was watching the syndicated version of Family Feud and last night, and apparently it is Playboy vs. Playgirl week. The team captain for Playboy was Carmela of WWE Diva fame. I had to watch for a little bit just to watch (I actually spent longer watching this than the contest on Raw). She actually came off as well-spoken and fairly intelligent. In fact, she won the big prize for her team at the end of the show. Maybe WWE could just spare us all a little pain, and hand the contract to her now.

I would've liked to see Austin in that role, but i'll settle for Cena.

No one said anything about her being dumb. She's just got the personality of a fern.

I'd Rather see Orton as he really was a marine.
