i think it is Clint Eatwood for sure.

IMO Val Kilmer made Tombstone. But I mean cmon. Eastwood is the obvious great one.

Westerns aren't really my thing though.

John Wayne is a far from first, second best to Clink Eastwood.

I like Eastwood. Not to big a fan of John Wayne.

But for best cowboy, I'll have to go with Robert Duvall. He was great in "Lonesome Dove", as mentioned before, and he upstaged Costner in "Open Range."

The obvious choice is Eastwood, but besides him, Jack Palance
