Great band, I got "Watch Out" yesterday. Can't wait to see them supporting Allister.

OssMan 08-09-2004 12:35 AM

Penner 08-09-2004 12:48 AM

Funny you say that, because I was having that same discusion. I'm still not used to it.

DegenerationY 08-09-2004 02:43 AM

don't like 'em.

they seem very unoriginal to me. vocals seem way too forced.

MoRcHeEbA 08-09-2004 03:12 AM

they're named after a stripper they met in Vegas

deathtrap 08-09-2004 04:41 AM

Yeah, the vocals are a bit needy.
Too much unecessary screaming.

FakeLaser 08-09-2004 03:20 PM

Nothing special.

TheNamelessOne 08-09-2004 03:49 PM

Allister are shit.

FakeLaser 08-09-2004 04:00 PM

Yeah Allister does suck.

Gertner 08-09-2004 04:14 PM

horrible. just horrible.

fonzy 08-09-2004 07:32 PM

Wicked, I might be going to that gig.
By the way Allister rule
"Somewhere down on a Fullerton, there's a place we used to go to get away from it all."
Wahoo

Blitz 08-15-2004 04:56 PM

Tremendous band. I'm looking to pick up "Watch Out" soon.

DL "Accidents". It rules.

tomisonfire 08-16-2004 10:19 AM

Yeah Watch Out is good :thumb:

the first album is good too, heaps faster.

Wahoo

I live in Fullerton.

Anyways, I could have gone with a bunch of my friends to see them play with Emery, but I declined seeing as how I'm not really into the HXC scene all that much.

I did, however, see an As I Lay Dying show, but only because KsE played afterwards.

Hollywood Red 08-21-2004 01:58 AM

I don't like the screaming, I do like "Accidents" though. And I liked "Pulmonary Archery"... until the screaming kicked in.

Gertner 08-23-2004 02:07 PM

they remind me of "timmy and the Lords of the Underworld" from South Park.

Baio 08-25-2004 02:16 PM

I like them, I just dont think they're amazing.

Silent 10-11-2004 09:48 PM

Bumping an ancient topic, but I picked up their self titled album and I love it. The screaming doesn't bother me, which seems to be a complaint a lot of people here have.

road doggy dogg 10-11-2004 10:03 PM

"The band" (as my sister and her friends call them since they're good friends with them and all) are touring with Alexisonfire right now. I don't know, I don't really like them a whole lot but they're not awful or anything.

Danny Electric 10-12-2004 01:52 AM

I'm seeing them again in December with 'The Bled', should be awesome as it's a joint headline tour.

The Destroyer 10-12-2004 10:04 AM

The video I saw for their one of their songs sounded like a load of tuneless crap, and considering some of the stuff I listen to, that's a pretty bold statement.

i agree...if they just tones that down a bit they'd be a lot better

"Counterparts and Number Them" ?

OssMan 10-12-2004 04:07 PM

I take back what I said, they are horrible

Danny Electric 10-13-2004 12:32 AM

Assman gave in to peer pressure, the joys of being 14.
No way do they have to tone down the screaming and the guitarist has an awesome voice.

mitch_h 10-13-2004 12:41 AM

Saw them with Moneen and Closet monster, they are pretty good. I also agree with Danny Electric, Dallas has an incredible voice.
