I don't know exactly what you mean by "shredding", but I have had the privilige of seeing Mike McCready in concert. His fingers fly faster than mine ever will.

also, you're not going to find anything by him to prove this online, but robert fripp when playing in the G3 jam with joe satriani and steve vai was superb.

his set was all this wacky atmospheric stuff though.

I can't remember the guys name, but the guy from Carnal Forge does some pretty sick shredding IMO.
