It's Triple X isn't it.

RemyRed 08-11-2004 03:24 PM

Here's hoping that David Young loses and leaves TNA for good, and that Amazing Red wins the X-Divison Championship. Who does everyone go for for that X-Division match?

AareDub 08-11-2004 03:28 PM

Can't wait for that X-Division match. I hope somebody fresh (i.e. not Kash, Styles, Kazarian, or Shane) gets the title. I'd like to see it on somebody like Sonjay Dutt.

Watson 08-11-2004 03:30 PM

I never get to watch the PPVs but I hope like Hell Chris Sabin wins the X-Title once again in the 20-man Gauntlet. If memory serves me right, he never lost that belt to begin with. I believe he had to forfeit it due to an injury. Then Kazarian won it later that night only to drop it to Styles prior to the debut of Impact. I believe Sabin is one of the better workers in the X-Division although I don't know about his mic skills as I've never heard him promo. Regardless, he's an awesome wrestler.

The Show Off 08-11-2004 03:37 PM

Anyone have an idea as to who any of the un named wrestlers are going to be for the match?

tnaman 08-11-2004 06:54 PM

Mikey Batts,Jerrelle Clark, and La Parka are also going to be in the Gauntlet Match tonight and Many believe that Brian "Spanky" Kendrick will debut in the X-Division Gauntlet match

Evil Vito 08-11-2004 07:36 PM

Here's who I think is gonna be in the X-Division Gauntlet:

Shane, Kazarian, AJ Styles, Sabin, Lynn, Williams, Kash, Dutt, Red, Nosawa, Miyamoto, McGuinness, Psicosis, La Parka, Batts, Clark, Jason Cross, Spanky, Shark Boy, and D-Ray 3000

I'd hope that Spanky wins, if not, Sabin.

Oh yeah, and, if anybody can find this match available for download sometime tomorrow, then PLEASE post it here.

MVP 08-11-2004 08:13 PM

Spanky.

He better win, or Sonjay.

AareDub 08-11-2004 09:18 PM

Well I ordered the PPV for this match, I hope its more gauntlet style than battle royal. So far they've just been referring to it as "Gauntlet for the Gold" and haven't called it a battle royal thus far.

Innovator 08-11-2004 09:22 PM

this is the first NWATNA ppv I've ordered, it better be fucking good

So far it's nothing special, unless you're a fan of Ekmo. Hopefully the X Division match won't disappoint.

I'm stopped in mid response by good things happening with Raven and Sabu :D

AareDub 08-11-2004 09:53 PM

 They showed a video package showing that David Young was 0-88, then as he came to the ring they showed him as 0-93. Then said "oh, he must have had some untelevised losses." It sounded like an obvious shot at Goldberg and WCW to me. It's something there's no point in making fun of anymore, but I still laughed at it

Innovator 08-11-2004 10:57 PM

down to Red and Petey Williams

AareDub 08-11-2004 10:59 PM

I kinda figured they might give it to Williams. They've been pushing him like crazy on Impact. The match wasn't too bad, I'm pretty happy with the result.

Innovator 08-11-2004 11:00 PM

so why did Dusty restart the end of the 1st match and not the last match, where a title is on the line?

Innovator 08-11-2004 11:01 PM

Raven vs. Sabu, Hangman's Horror II sounds pretty sweet

Evil Vito 08-11-2004 11:01 PM

Who were all of the un-named participants?

Innovator 08-11-2004 11:03 PM

I actually marked out when La Parka came out

Loose Cannon 08-11-2004 11:13 PM

Petey Willams won it. NICE. De'More (SP) and him Rule TNA.

Quick1 08-11-2004 11:30 PM

I'd like if a black guy won.

RemyRed 08-11-2004 11:42 PM

Fucking Scott D'Amore. I fucking hate Team Canada. Amazing Red was robbed!

Watson 08-11-2004 11:51 PM

Has the Raven/Sabu match happened yet?

Same here, then again when he started dancing :D

The contestants that I can remember are (the first couple are in order, but after that I won't remember too much):

1. Kazarian
2. Sonjay Dutt (first eliminated :( )
3. Chad Collyer
4. La Park (they made him drop the a at the end I guess)
5. Miyamoto
6. Jerry Lynn
7. Nosawa
8. Chris Vaughn (sp?)
9. Mikey Batts
10. AJ Styles
11. Petey Williams
12. D-Ray 3000 (in and right back out)
13. Shark Boy
14. Psicosis
15. Chris Sabin
16. Kid Kash
17. McGuinness
18. Jerelle Clark
19. Amazing Red
20. Michael Shane

I'm missing 2 entrants, there were 22 total. I'm trying to remember their names (hadn't seen either before) I keep thinking Cross and Matthews. I could be way off though  One of them looked pretty impressive, while the other was pretty mediocre.

They had a match last week, Raven won. Next week they are going to have a Hangman's Horror match to settle the feud.

tnaman 08-11-2004 11:53 PM

who was in the X-Division Gauntlet match

Innovator 08-11-2004 11:54 PM

Joey Matthews was in it

Raven better win the feud, then go on after Jarrett

Yay, I was right with one of my guesses. The other guy was wearing white shorts I think.

Raven going after the title would be sweet, but now they seem to have Hardy, Brown, Killings, and Styles all somewhat in the mix. It could be a while before they get all of that sorted out :-\

Oh ok, I was thinking they had a match tonight.

By the way, How'd Sabin do in the Gauntlet?

Monty Brown, from what I've seen on impact and the PPV tonight, has no business being anywhere near the NWA Championship, the Truth had his run, Jarrett has definetly had his run as champ, so has Styles, its Raven's time.

Sabin did alright, lasted until the last 5 or 6

RemyRed 08-12-2004 12:07 AM

Monty Brown is all right. He's like a seriously pumped up crazy black guy. Did you see how scared Mike Tenay looked in that ring?

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree. I don't think there's anybody more fitting that Raven as champ right now. However, it doesn't look like TNA sees things our way. It seems to me like Jarret will defeat Hardy while Monty Brown beat Killings to become the number one contender. Jarret will defeat Brown. Meanwhile they'll do something like Killings vs Styles vs Hardy for the number one contendership. Styles will win and take the belt off Jarret. Then we'll see title defenses against Hardy, Killings, and probably Jarret. Then maybe they'll be smart enough to throw Raven in the mix and put the belt on him.

Innovator 08-12-2004 12:12 AM

did anyone else see Jerry Lynn? it looked like he was actually hurt

oh yeah AJ Styles is fucking phenomenal, the man

a Styles/Raven program for the title would be awesome, but I just don't see the point of having Monty Brown ahead of Raven in the pecking order.

Boondock Saint 08-12-2004 12:14 AM

Hasn't Raven been after the NWA title since he debuted there? And he's STILL chasing it but keeps getting sidetracked. It pisses me off.

If I didn't have to work tonight I may have ordered this. The X match sounded cool.
