Just saw Dawn of the Dead (the remake)

How fucking cool is that movie.

I thought it was gonna suck but it didn't.

Tom Savini is still the man

Crimson 08-14-2004 03:58 PM

Yea , it was good. I'll probably buy it. Although I still think I prefered the slow walking zombies.

Boondock Saint 08-14-2004 04:02 PM

I wanna see it badly. I also wanna get the new Dawn of the Dead (1978) Ultimate Edition DVD with the theatrical, extended, and European cuts coming out in September.

AareDub 08-14-2004 04:40 PM

I watched it last weekend expecting it to suck. However, I was very entertained. It was hilarious. That's probably not the reaction they were going for, but I was entertained either way. Good movie.

Cool King 08-14-2004 06:59 PM

I liked the original, but the remake was still good. :)

What do European cuts taste like?

Jaded-Dragon 08-17-2004 01:01 AM

That's good to hear. I was iffy about seeing it in the theatre. I'l definitely pick it up on DVD now though.

RemyRed 08-17-2004 04:56 PM

It sucked. No storyline, no real plot, no ending. I actually walked out of the theatre for it.

Yea, movies tend to not have endings when you leave before it's over.

lol

I saw this film at the pictures. It was quite good.

RemyRed 08-19-2004 04:13 AM

Okay I lied. I didnt walk out. But you have to admit that ending was horrible.

I can't trust you anymore what with your history of lies.

Everybody dies, that's like the best ending ever. Every movie should end that way. Ok, I guess not EVERY movie, but it should be more common. I get tired of the protagonists always surviving everything.

Blue Demon 08-19-2004 04:21 PM

I'm guessing it was a hell of a lot better than House of the Dead. That movie sucked

Boondock Saint 08-19-2004 06:46 PM

lol, House of the Dead is one of the most unintentionally funny movies ever made.

Buzzkill 09-01-2004 12:28 AM

I just saw it, and loved it. It was intense, and had some really funny moments. The classical version of Down with the Sickness was hilarious

lol Now you've got me thinking of random movies where everybody dies in the end.

Passion Of The Christ: Jesus is resurrected, then proceeds to self-destruct, killing everyone in the world.

Titanic: All of the survivors accidently stumble upon some outcasted Norwegian whaling ships who then bring them aboard and murder them in a bloody sexfest of debauchery and harpooning.

Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King: Frodo pawns the ring for crack money and everybody is slaughtered. Simple as that.

All Brenden Frasier movies: Everybody contracts AIDS and dies.

Bo 09-01-2004 10:31 AM

Yeah both the orginal and not really a remake but rei-nvisoning version are great
