I remember seeing her once in WCW as Monster Ripper, she totally crushed Mona.

I didn't know it was a suicide. I was under the impression that it was a heart attack. Tragic either way. She was a great in-ring performer, who got stuck with a comedy gimmick in Bertha Faye. If she'd been made into a serious Women's Champion - it'd be possible that McMahon wouldn't have seen his belt tossed into the trash on Nitro :y:

I'm making this statement in the least asinine, and most serious manner possible, but if you want to know why she committed suicdie, my answer would be "look at her."
She was a 40 year old, obease, probably unmarried, probably not too well off, possibly without any outside work skills, professional wrestler. One that had built her whole career off of acting as a sort of freak show act. I definatly could be wrong, but as sad as it is, I bet that was a main reason why. |
She never topped herself.
