Austin gives up drinking...
In an update to Steve Austin's well-reported visit to this week's RAW, his meeting with Vince McMahon was reportedly very short. The five-minute meeting likely did not spawn any major business developments, although little is known as to what they spoke about. Austin, who was in good spirits backstage, reportedly told wrestlers that he gave up alcohol and has a new outlook on life, sort of like a "New Age Redneck," as one source described it. Austin left the company earlier this year after an issue regarding the rights to his name.
--------- i wonder how long this will last...? |
I wonder if a drinking problem was the real reason for leaving
|
yes. because it led to his beating women. genius.
Anyway, good for him, but he needs to stay off the stuff. Heck, if he does right his life around and keep it righted, all the more power and admiration to him. Eddie has done it, and if Austin were to do so, he'd regain my respect. Until then, tho, we still get to make Austin Wife Beater jokes. :D |
Steve Austin has also recently been in the news with regards to ongoing problems with his ex-girlfriend Tess Broussard.
theres the second half to that post i forgot to put... |
Ehhh, not to be a dick, but where's the credit?

Alcohol is not what made Austin, Austin. Giving it his all in the ring was what made Austin. Shut up. |
Exactly, when I think of austin, I think of the guy who cut promos with an edge to them..he was quick, he was sharp. It was a more venomous type approach. Once he started drinking he got bigger but not in a good way, and he started sounding much more gruff, which tended to fuck up some of his promos I thought.
Listen to austin in 2002, as compared to him in 1997 or 1998. Austin was not about alcohol, he was about fucking authority and kicking the crap outta everyone. |
It's always great to see somebody change their life for the better.
|
Good for Austin. Here here to the dedication of the "New Age Redneck".
