How do I stop this bastard?
 

For a while now I've been getting pop-ups from a site called www.ad-w-a-r-e.com and if I leave it it eventually ends up linking to more pop-ups and other sites that end up leaving dialers and more spyware on my computer. Yesterday I left my computer for about 30 seconds and when I came back I had a new dialer on my computer just because of that pop up.

I have tried ad-aware, SpyBot, HijackThis, Kill Box, CWShredder and The Cleaner and not one of them is finding what is causing it. I also tried a pop-up stopper yesterday which did nothing (despite download.com giving it a 5/5 rating :wtf: )

So anyone got any ideas on how to get right of it?

Oh and I also have AVG Anti-Virus which can't find it either.

When I used Windows 2000 I got this pop up that was similar, it infested my PC with loads of shit, and it links you to a site to stop it, where you have to pay $29.95 to download a program. So they basically try and charge you that money to stop them putting stuff onto your PC.

I suggest a combination of Sygate personal firewall, McAfee Antivirus, Adaware SE, Spybot, Mozilla Firefox and a good pop up stopper.

Oh, and if all is lost, reformat. :shifty:
