Open Water

I saw this movie the other day and I thoguht it was pretty shitty, what did others think?

Funky Fly 09-05-2004 09:16 PM

it's a movie about 2 people stuck in water. There better be some damn good dialog or it's going to suck.

YOUR Hero 09-05-2004 10:12 PM

It's a brave concept, but I really don't see it working.

Triple A 09-05-2004 10:20 PM

I haven't seen it but it's probably good. Sundance film and whatnot.

Zelda 09-05-2004 10:53 PM

I've seen it and I think it was good. I've seen it in French though. :(

Danny Electric 09-05-2004 11:07 PM

How long is the film?
If it's a long film then it might become tedious.

Xero 09-05-2004 11:13 PM

I saw the trailer a few months ago... Is this movie seriously nothing but people floating in the ocean, or do they get to an island or something? (Spoil it, I dont care, I'll see it when it comes on HBO)

Dragon 09-05-2004 11:49 PM

I saw it the other day, and I was expecting a lot better. Everyone has talked about how good and scary it was, but there really was no parts that were that scary at all.

I dunno, I was expecting it to be much better.

It's short. Less than an hour and a half from what I've heard.

mitch_h 09-06-2004 12:49 AM

I thought it was shit... not very suspensful, the writing was dissapointing as well, plus the main characters were terrible.... kinda wanted them to be eaten. There were some beautiful shots though :meh:

Jordan 09-06-2004 10:25 AM

Awful movie, it is the only movie I have ever walked out on...

SukkaChump 09-07-2004 10:36 AM

gotta wonder if this or the blair witch project had a bigger budget O.o

The Miz 09-07-2004 12:03 PM

Saw it yesterday, terrible.

Jerichoholic 09-07-2004 02:04 PM

I will probably go see it pretty soon even if it is terrible.

Adder 09-07-2004 06:51 PM

awful

DegenerationY 09-09-2004 05:33 AM

I still haven't seen the movie. The premise has extreme promise, but the outlook of the outcome is looking grim. I really liked the idea of the movie, too :(

If I hear the phrase "THE MOST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED MOVIE OF THE SUMMER" relating to this shitfest again, I'm gonna impale my TV with its own antenna. The movie's producer had some real balls to say that his pile of crap was more eagerly anticipated than SPiderman 2.

The Mackem 09-16-2004 08:20 PM

The only thing that interests me slightly is that it has happened in real life.

RemyRed 09-16-2004 08:21 PM

It's one of those movies that looked better on paper (like Phonebooth). Like it would've made a better book to rean than a movie.

TJ4LIFE 09-20-2004 08:50 PM

worst.film.ever. the camera work was like out of one of those home movie shows....
