You can hear it streaming here. It sounds pretty good.

Buzzkill 09-12-2004 07:55 PM

whoa didnt know they were making another album...gonna definitely pick it up

Buzzkill 09-12-2004 07:59 PM

by pick it up I mean download it

Ska-Wars 09-12-2004 08:13 PM

You can actually download the whole thing here

Buzzkill 09-12-2004 08:33 PM

I like it

FakeLaser 09-13-2004 01:50 PM

My early prediction is that it will suck. Just a hunch.

I'll check it out later though.

razorblade kisses 09-13-2004 03:27 PM

It's good.... VERY good.

Old style Dookie stuff and some 9 minute epics that are worth listening to, but some crap on as well

Ska-Wars 09-13-2004 03:54 PM

Yeah I wouldn't go as far as to say it sucks. It's just different. Thankfully its different to 'Warning', I wasn't too keen on that.

Outsider 09-13-2004 08:08 PM

Released here next week, not gonna spoil my excitment by downloading! :D

Buzzkill 09-13-2004 09:41 PM

Definitely some good stuff on there. Better than Warning:

LK 09-14-2004 04:27 PM

Green Day are brilliant. I love the song American Idiot

Buzzkill 09-14-2004 07:28 PM

Holiday is just doin it for me right now.

Ska-Wars 09-15-2004 06:54 AM

I think the page where you could download it is down, I can't get it up.

It's Green Day, that's all I can really say... It's not good or bad, it's Green Day... it's a little it's more mature but that's not a surprise, can't really see 30 year old men writing about jerking off in front of the TV.

I heard the first single on MTVU, that songs pretty good. The thing I like about Green Day is on their new albums they don't really sell out. All the old punk bands have totally changed their style to get on the radio but they are still just sweet.

DegenerationY 09-15-2004 10:45 PM

They didn't need to sell out. They were always radio friendly.

I like first single (American Idiot) but then I heard another song from the cd, and it sucked. I'll give it a few months before I buy it.

Greenday and 9 minute epics should never be uttered in the same sentence.

House of Pancakes 09-16-2004 03:41 PM

A song that's nine minutes long is not necessarily epic. There are 20 minute songs that suck and three minutes songs that I consider epic.

road doggy dogg 09-16-2004 04:43 PM

Heard American Idiot far more than I probably would like (radio, Madden), but it's a good catchy tune. I'll probably pick this CD up once I get my paycheck.

When I first heard they were doing 9 minute songs I thought that too, but I was surprised, Jesus Of Suburbia is awesome.

Buzzkill 09-16-2004 07:38 PM

Jesus of Suburbia is a combination 5 songs actually; Jesus of Suburbia, City of the Damned, I Don't Care, Dearly Beloved, and Tales of Another Broken Home

Buzzkill 09-22-2004 12:35 AM

woooooooooh its outtttttt

Bad Company 09-22-2004 12:55 AM

Damn this CD is good!

Buzzkill 09-22-2004 12:58 AM

I actually bought it, wanted to complete my Green Day collection, and wow I love this CD.

Same about the loving, I downloaded it, but now I'm actually gonna buy it.

LK 09-22-2004 04:41 AM

Brilliant album. Bought it on Monday and I love it.

road doggy dogg 09-22-2004 12:22 PM

Hmmmmm might pick it up todayyy

TheNamelessOne 09-22-2004 01:09 PM

Can't stop listening to it.

"American Idiot" is the least good song on the album though, but "Jesus Of Suburbia" reminds me so much of "The Decline" by NOFX. Which is a good thing.

Buzzkill 09-22-2004 07:25 PM

The title track is great, but by no means the best song on the album. Holiday, St. Jimmy, and certain parts of Homecoming and Jesus of Suburbia are the best in my opinion.

slextremely 10-04-2004 01:41 PM

The best CD I have heard in a long time :y:

DegenerationY 10-05-2004 01:29 AM

Man, Holiday is a damn catchy song

samichna 10-05-2004 10:16 AM

awesome cd

i've listenend to it like 40 times

Outsider 10-06-2004 11:40 AM

Jesus of Suburbia =

DegenerationY 10-17-2004 02:08 AM

Okay, whoa. I have always had a soft spot for Green Day - I started listening to them when I was in 3rd grade (a.k.a. like 11 years ago)

I thought after Insomniac, they had pretty much lost their touch with me.

I've listened to their stuff after Insomniac, but it didn't click... Then I got curious and bought American Idiot. Holy shit. I'm hooked again.

This album is fucking awesome :o

Buzzkill 10-17-2004 02:23 AM

Soo good
