What PS2 games do you play online?
 

Ive been thinking about getting an online adapter for the ps2 just for Smackdown Vs Raw when it comes out. There have been a few games out there that I wouldnt mind playing like Nascar and Madden or ESPN stuff like that. And I think its a little better than Xbox just for the fact you dont have to pay sign up fees. I was just wondering what games you people played online. Sorta give me a feel for if I do get it what I should be getting to join the online community.

So, beyond buying the adapter (and paying whatever your usual Internet rate is), you don't have to pay any extra charges to play online?

Nope. That's the beauty of it. However, for some reason, I think EA makes you give them a credit card number for Madden just for reference though. I only heard this on G4TechTV, so I can't confirm it.

That's only for the Premier Pass thing. If you don't wanna do that, you don't have to.

Just bought my network adapter, just waiting for a phone point to be installed in my room. But I will be playing Burnout 3, SO-COM, This is Football, and Smackdown vs Raw (when that last one comes out).

I refuse to get an adaptor. From the implications I get reading the wrestling forum day in and day out, I'm afraid of the interactions I may make playing games with the same idiots who type "JBL iz GHey! Undertakerz iz da bom cuz he iz tUF!!!1!" I can just envision some dumbass delivering a full course of friendly fire on SOCOM or getting his dumb self in my way doing doughnuts on the front stretch of the Daytona 500.

Or there's the exact opposite, the skinny/fat little/assed 12 year old who spends from 4 pm to 12 am playing games non-stop, so the minute I plug in my headset I hear, "My god, you're only still in the temple? I was all the way across the river by the point you reached the statue. Oh, there you are...bang you're dead. Jeez! You're so stupid you regenerated right next to me! Bang, you're dead again! Now your weapons are mine, so I'm gonna kill you from a mile away with your sniper rifle. Bang, you're dead again! God you're stupid! You've got to be ancient...like 15 or something. Bang! you're dead again!

That's the exact reason I'm only going to play against people I know and like. I have friends who are scattered around at various colleges, so I'll be happy to play SvR against them without everybody having to gather at one place.

Plus, I'll be glad to fight some of the (intelligent) TPWW posters on it, too.

But, yeah, I won't play any "public" games.
