Fact Or Fiction TPWW style
This is in response to ESPN Fact or Fiction. I'll propose a random question each day with a new topic. If you choose the same answer, that I do, I will rep you. If you answer and give your reason (you must give a reason in order to recieve the rep) and it matches mine to the T, I will double rep you when I can. So without further adieu here is the first question.
FACT OR FICTION: The Yankees will be the represenative for the AL for the World Series? |
What the hell makes you the all knowing genius on whether these things happen or not?
Dumbass. |
Dude, I don't care. If you don't want to try this then just leave
|
OK...
Fact. :?: So, is it just based on your opinion or do we wait around until the world series now? |
No you post your own opinion as well. I will also rep very good responses even if they don't match mine.

Fiction
Boston and Anaheim have better depth in their rotations, and the Yankees will face Johan Santana at least once in their Divisional Series. |
I see.
Well... Fiction then. The Red Sox will represent the AL in the world series. The curse however isn't to be broken as they will loose, rather handily to the Cardinals. The Yankess themselves will be the heavy favourites against the Sox, the games will be close, but still, in the end, the Soc will take the series in only 5 games. This of course will have the Red Sox nation revelling and thinking "this is the year". Enter Larry Walker the World Series MVP. |
fiction.
The Twins will represent the AL. Reason Satana is the best pitcher in the league, and the Twins have playoff experience |
Just like they do on Sports Center I'm digging it...
Fiction- The Yankees pitching will fall apart in the AL championship series to the BOSTON RED SOXS. Fact or Fiction? The New England Patriots will repeat as Super Bowl Champions. |

I am going to say Fiction. but its tough to tell with Big Stein being so tempramental (sp?) but I think Torre will stay if he dosent win the World Series because of the simple fact that Joe keeps producing wins and keeps getting them Division Championships |
Ok everyone, for the first question you all got a rep. Yesterday's double rep goes to WordLife.
Fiction- There are many reasons why the Yankees won't represent the AL. First of all, the Boston Red Sox have their number. They have much better pitching and a lot better "clutch" players in tight games. Also the Yankees are too egotistical. I also guarantee that Jeter and A-Rod, get into it before their season is over. Things are not as tight as people think they are in that locker room. |
fact or fiction: mask has no idea what the questions in the thread mean
|
FACT. I'm picking the Yankees. Although it's anybody's game technically, I see problems with the other three teams making it. Anaheim's starting pitching is insanely weak for a playoff team, the Red Sox have a shoddy bullpen and they're the Red Sox, and Minnesota doesn't have damn near any firepower or much pitching aside from Santana. The Yankees' pitching is not as trouble some as many think. Mussina should be fine in the playoffs, El Duque is always good, and John Lieber has been pitching very well lately. If they need depth, Brown and Vazquez are as good as you're gonna get in terms of off-the-bench guys. The Yankees have some flaws, but the fact remains: they're the Yankees. They are the favorite, and I think they're really gunning for a championship this season. I say Jeter leads the way and the Yanks get the Series again.

El Duque is not good. Ask the Blue Jays that past two games
