Great WCW matches
 

Can anybody suggest any. I wasn't a WCW fan back when it was alive except for a few episodes here and there but some of the matches I've downloaded are great. I was watxhing DDP vs Chris Benoit for the US Champioship last night and it was an absolute classic. I've got others involving Malenko, Benoit, Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon etc but not many. Suggestions?

I have to say , when great matches come to mind in WCW, Barry Darsow vs Bobby Blaze definitley sticks out.

How about the ladder match between 3 Count and the Jung Dragons from "New Blood Rising?"

or any of the Benoit/Booker best of 7

also, the match between Vincent and Adrian Byrd on WCW Worldwide is very under-rated.

Psychosis vs Rey Mesterio Jr BATB 96
One of the Greatest Matches I've ever seen.

Anything early 1990's featuring William Regal. :y:

Also, look for lucha style six-man tag matches with guys like: Hector Garza, Ciclope, Damian, El Dandy, Lizmark Jr., The Villanos and especially Silver King (all of whom are extremely underrated talents by the way).

Another thing you can look into would be any Johnny B. Badd v. DDP matches, or Arn Anderson matches from the earlier 1990's. Mero had some excellent matches for the TV Title as well.

Downloaded WCW vs NWO wargames the other night. There's a fake Sting in it. I thought he looked a bit like Raven.

It was Super Jay, who went on to use that name in WCW as part of the nWo later on in his career, as well as in Japan. The last I heard, they were booking "Fake Sting" in indy shows again, sometimes against David Flair.

I'll make it easy and say probably any cruserweight match. Seriously, those are 87498742987298721 times better than any WWE cruserweight match.

I rather enjoyed Saturn vs Raven vs Kanyon at Road Wild. I'm pretty sure that was in 1998. It was the same PPV with Jay Leno wrestling. I absolutely loved that triangle match. Check it out if you enjoy those wrestlers.

Why was it that whenever Randy Savage won the title on a PPV, he would always drop the next night on Nitro to Hogan? I mean didnt he have backstage power too?

Absolutely. I agree 100%. As for matches, one of my personal favorites comes from an episode of Nitro in which Psychosis(speaking of which) won the cruiserweight title for the first time. Four-way match between Psychosis, Mysterio(who was the champion), Blitzkrieg and I believe Juvi, but it may have been someone else. Either way, excellent match.

DDP vs. Randy Savage ---frome either Spring Stampede '97, Great American Bash '97, or Halloween Havoc '97

Booker T. vs. Jeff Jarrett ---BATB 2000. That's a match I've STILL can't seem to find, but I keep hearing how great it is.

Jericho vs Eddie Guerrerro Fall brawl. For the cruiser weight title.

Kronik's was a rip off a a Static X song

Jarett's was a rip of of Cowboy by Kid Rock

Vince Russo - Ironman by Black Sabbath

yeah Saturn was a rip off of Beautiful People

Shane Douglas - Perfect Strangers by Deep purple

Lance Storm was not a rip off but really inspired by his ECW White Zombie theme song.
