sound card...
 
wanna get a new one, don't do anything fancy... mostly music, maybe a game or two, might play a movie or two... am I find w/ the SB 5.1 that's like 30bucks or do I need something more?

If you're not looking for surround sound you should be fine. The SB Live! 5.1 will do you just fine.
