JETS AND GIANTS, WHOOOOOOOOO

Mark my words. If the Jets can beat the Patriots the week after next, they are gonna start at least 8-0, because Herm Edwards made their schedule or something.

Oct 17 San Francisco 1:00pm
Oct 24 @New England 4:05pm
Nov 1 Miami 9:00pm
Nov 7 @Buffalo 1:00pm
Nov 14 Baltimore 1:00pm
Nov 21 @Cleveland 1:00pm
Nov 28 @Arizona 4:15pm
Dec 5 Houston 1:00pm
Dec 12 @Pittsburgh 4:05pm

Besides Baltimore and NE, they are gonna win all those games. They have the easiest schedule of all time. That's why I'm not sure about them yet.

The Giants though.

OssMan 10-10-2004 09:48 PM

That TD catch by Shockey was pretty hot

Roy Williams didn't like it though :(

Jerichoholic 10-11-2004 12:17 AM

Cowboys :(

Roy Williams is still the man though, mostly because Darren Woodson is hurt, those had to give up his position of being 'the man'.

Innovator 10-11-2004 02:01 AM

Just like Chris Benoit, the Giants are FOR REAL

MRAT=VEGETABLES 10-11-2004 02:08 AM

I just got back rom the Jets game a few hours ago....
but i agree that were not going to know what the Jets are made of until week 15-17
Seattle
New England
@St. Louis

VonErich Lives 10-11-2004 03:35 AM

if Curtis keeps playing like he is, anything is possible.

NE, Balt, Hou, Cleveland and Pittsburg could all be tough games for the Jets.

DaveWadding 10-11-2004 03:36 AM

I don't think Cle is that tough. Everyone is underrating Houston..and Pittsburgh is just explosive when they wanna be.

road doggy dogg 10-11-2004 04:01 AM

They're gonna lose to Miami

road doggy dogg 10-11-2004 04:02 AM

Sorry that was my #1-wwf-fan retarded post of the night

Don't think they'll win the division but they have a good chance of a wildcard spottttt

#1-norm-fan 10-11-2004 06:30 AM

WTF are you talking about now?

Gonzo 10-11-2004 11:17 AM

Giants baby, looked piss poor in the first half then came out in the second half and opened it up on Big D.

I was surprised Seattle lost too, crazy.

slextremely 10-11-2004 03:36 PM

Ya Jets will get a Wild Card. Pennington is playing pretty good right now, We'll see if they can hang with New England. in a few weeks.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-11-2004 03:38 PM

I got a picture of Curtis Martin hanging on my wall right now, back when he was with the Patriots

VonErich Lives 10-11-2004 03:43 PM

The giants might be for real.. but can they hold up... will the "new tiki" keep going?

I dunno, coughlin teams tend to get tired and fold near the end of the year... will be interesting to see... they don't have an easy schedule, and they play some strong defensive teams...

but should be fun to watch.

Gonzo 10-11-2004 03:45 PM

VEL GET OUT OF MY HOUSE.

But seriously, you make a valid point, seems what happened with his Jaguar teams.

We will have to see, I am excited, Tiki is playing the best football of his life.

el fregadero 10-11-2004 05:06 PM

That must be why he brought the Jaguars to the AFC Championship game in their second year. The Giants team is much better than the Jags were that year, so I don't see why they shouldn't be considered a threat.

Gonzo 10-11-2004 08:26 PM

I'm not saying that the Jaguars didn't accomplish anything under Coughlin, but in the latter part of his tenure in Jacksonville his teams weren't too spectacular.

I'd hardly call that a great team... nor would I claim the Giants are much better.

That Jags team didn't even win their own division, and it was a very weak division w/ exception of that years Steelers team who won the division.

Coughlin is know as a "tough coach" and has always run his players into the ground... maybe he's learned... but only time will tell.

He has them doing full contact pads practices late in the season and puts his players at risk.

I don't know if he still does it, but he used to have a rule that coaches couldn't wear sunglases on the sidelines, it was a sign of "weakness".

It's too early to say a team like the Giants are for real, but they have the potential. A lot of teams have potential and a lot of players are playing above their head... check back mid season... Can Tiki keep holding onto the ball? Cause if he starts dropping it again, Coughlin will bench him so fast his head will spin. can Warner stay healthy? and they don't exactly have an easy schedule...

I'm not saying they're not a good team, but I'm waiting a few more games to see how they shake out.

VonErich Lives 10-11-2004 08:58 PM

Also, as for season #2 of an expansion team. That has more to do w/ drafting then coaching.

don't forget, he got the job 18months before they played a game, he had plenty of time to scout... and even w/ that I'm not sure if he was the player personal guy...

not saying he's a bad coach, just not putting him up there like some people do.

That Shockey push off didn't help.Easily offensive pass interference

Yup :y:: Lucky break for the Giants on that one

#1-norm-fan 10-12-2004 03:59 AM

Seriously... the refereeing in the NFL gets more and more rediculous every year. It's almost like when instant replay started, the officials looked at it as an okay to start half-assing their calls more than usual. Really, a little concentration. I don't expect every little call to be dead on but stuff like the Shockey interference, the interference on Bennett early in the game tonight, and the Trent Green "sack" last week along with about a million other plays this season alone just taint alot of the games.

BabyHugger 10-12-2004 04:41 AM

Giants are outplaying everyone, they have mad heart, and that will take them far. That all stems from Coughlin being the fuckin man.

#1-norm-fan 10-12-2004 05:16 AM

Tom Coughlin looks exactly like a rabbit, by the way. It's scary.

There's an old saying "let them play".

You tend to see this near the end of games, where something has to be blatent otherwise they let things slip both ways.

I think w/ the enforcements of the 5yd bump rule (which has almost become a 0yd bump rule) they are lightening up on some of the other calls...

el fregadero 10-12-2004 02:19 PM

Alot of roughing the passer calls are iffy.

VonErich Lives 10-12-2004 03:17 PM

yeah, the NFL is really going out of their way to protect the QB, such as the no hitting below the waist rule.

Which I understand cause a few years ago like 1/2 the starting QB's got injured and watching Brady, Pennington, Culpepper and Manning is a big difference then there backups.

Gonzo 10-12-2004 04:32 PM

The reason they are so touchy is because quarterbacks were getting hurt too much.

As for the Shockey penalty, yeah it was blatant. However there are times when the opposition gets calls in their favor as well. :-\

Loose Cannon 10-17-2004 05:59 PM

5-0. :D I am in like heaven right now with NY SPORTS. JETS AND YANKS.

Triple A 10-17-2004 09:53 PM

The Jets opponents combined are like 6-22. Three one win teams, Miami, and the other three wins are from the Chargers.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-17-2004 10:43 PM

Patriots just beat the Seahawks and have already beaten the Colts

FakeLaser 10-18-2004 07:08 PM

G-MENNNNNNNNN

DegenerationY 10-19-2004 02:53 AM

The Jets almost lost a lock on Sunday to the Niners. Luckily for them, the Niners remembered that they suck, just in time.

DegenerationY 10-19-2004 02:53 AM

P.S.

:'(
