PATRIOTSSSSSSSS

like the red sox thread, but for the Pats.

Instead of having 786216759 different topics about the team, just use this one for general discussion.

They just beat the Seahawks for their 20th straight win and 17th consecutive regular season win *which also ties THAT record.

TOM BRADY

The Patriots aren't going to start sucking like the Red Sox now are they.

BCWWF 10-17-2004 07:10 PM

If by start you mean continue. The Patriots will continue being good and the Red Sox will continue being a choke.

Gonzo 10-17-2004 07:13 PM

I want to see the Patriots go undefeated. They aren't my team or anything I would just like to see that. Especially in this day and age, it would be cool. Only to have them choke in the playoffs.

Yashamaga 10-17-2004 07:47 PM

Well it wouldn't be a stretch

they only play like 2 good teams from here on out

Rain Man 10-17-2004 08:16 PM

Eagels baby.. :D

But yeah the Patriots are sick.

BCWWF 10-17-2004 08:41 PM

I actually would like to see the Pats go all the way undefeated aswell. Then the whole winning streak would mean a helluva lot more. With the Pats it wouldn't be like some random team real good one year and doing this amazing feat, they are actually a really good team, and if any recent team was going to do it I would like it being the Pats rather than the Rams or something. That being said, it kinda sucks cause the Pats may have been a little bit better last year, but maybe not at the same time?

Loose Cannon 10-17-2004 08:42 PM

NY is stopping you next week. We're not only going to end your baseball team's run this year, but you're going to be looking at the Jets as the ones that end your precious little streak.

BCWWF 10-17-2004 08:44 PM

I don't know, the Pats disposed of Seattle pretty handily and they are probably better than the Jets, even if they have a worse record.

John la Rock 10-17-2004 08:54 PM

ya gotta love the Pats.

Brady is da man :y:

Y2Ant 10-17-2004 09:53 PM

They play the Jets next week?

hot game

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-17-2004 10:44 PM

Yea this post is probably gonna ruin it now you dick, look what its doing for the Red Sox

Gertner 10-18-2004 07:24 AM

Hmmmmm, who's been saying the Pats are gonna go undefeated all year?

Actually maybe not, the Patriots are like so far and above anything ever created that this will probably have no effect

Patriots > You

The Highlander 10-19-2004 04:34 AM

I'm not impressed. Pats will beat the Jets and lose the next week.

Roethlisberger baby!

road doggy dogg 10-19-2004 03:40 PM

What the hell, this is like a blatant attempt at trying to look even more like sTiMa.

el fregadero 10-19-2004 03:41 PM

Gertner 10-19-2004 04:22 PM

Going to the Pats Game Sunday... Woo-Hoo!

Last Pats game I went to was vs. the Jets... when Drew got knocked out.

Gertner 10-21-2004 09:24 PM

I hope eating your words tasted good  :y:

I would like to see the Pats go undefeated, as previously stated. I believe it will continue with the New York Jets.

Hardkore Kidd J 10-21-2004 11:34 PM

Pats IMO are one of the best teams in football. I don't watch too much football though. But from, what I have seen I have been liking the Pats. They're a real good football team.
:)

BCWWF 10-21-2004 11:49 PM

The Power Rankings have the Vikes at #4 behind Pats, Eagles, and Colts. Whoa!

Yashamaga 10-21-2004 11:53 PM

My rankings would be Pats, Vikes, Eagles, Colts out of those four.

road doggy dogg 10-22-2004 12:05 AM

How can you honestly rate the Vikings over the Eagles. Christ, the Eagles beat the Vikings already, that should tell you right there. Minnesota's defense is awful; Philadelphia's isn't.

VonErich Lives 10-22-2004 12:08 AM

yeah, Pats then Eagles. Colts... dunno... I don't think they have the defense... thats gonna kill them in any big game.

Vikes, gotta see if Moss doesn't play, how they do... been doing well w/ RB roulette.

Yashamaga 10-22-2004 12:35 AM

Yeah and that's the only quality team they've played.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-22-2004 01:15 AM

Patriots, Eagles, Colts, then the Vikings

Do you guys think the Jets are for real? I don't know..who have they beaten?

BCWWF 10-22-2004 01:41 AM

The Vikings and Eagles game was just a joke, the Vikings were playing way too conservative. If they played again I wouldn't call the Eagles outright favorites, give them the edge but they weren't anything special against the Vikes.

Regardless, the Vikes are probably a bit high @ #4 right now

road doggy dogg 10-22-2004 02:25 AM

Oh please. THE EAGLES BEAT THE VIKINGS, so clearly they are the better of the two teams. I don't know how else to put it. "It was the only quality team they played." Bullshit. The Giants, 4-1? Yeah. Detroit and Chicago are gimmes, but Carolina isn't horrible (granted they're not very good). The point is, Philly is beating the teams they should, although their win over Chicago left a bit to be desired. Minnesota is looking good, but guess what? They're 4-1. Philadelphia is unbeaten. They are the better team of the two right now. And that's totally not taking into consideration that Moss might not even play this week. But whateverrrrr. They're both good teams, but Philadelphia is better.

As for the Jets, I dunno. They're looking pretty good. Depends how long Martin can continue playing like this. Even then, if Martin starts slowing down, Pennington is good enough to keep the offense decent. His and Moss' numbers aren't that good right now, but that's because the Jets have been running the ball so well and haven't had the need to pass. I know it's an obvious statement, but their game against the Pats will show whether or not they're for real. They have had a very generous schedule so far, so that has to be taken into consideration. However, sometimes even simply winning the games you should be winning is all that matters. I think they're gonna be good this year, but not elite. They'll probably get a wildcard though.

Also, I think this year's Chargers are gonna be the same as last year's Bengals. Just instead, Brees = Kitna and Rivers = Palmer. If Rivers doesn't play at all this year, the Chargers are gonna be back to losing again next year. That's why the Bengals are looking so bad right now. The Chargers will probably finish 8-8 or so, but when Brees is gone and Rivers is starting, I don't think they'll do so good. I dunno, just something I thought offf

BCWWF 10-22-2004 04:35 AM

I said that the Eagles were a better team. I also said that the Eagles were not far and away the better team. I said that if they play again the Eagles will not be a lock to win it. It will be close.

VonErich Lives 10-22-2004 04:37 AM

yeah, the jets have a decent team, martin looks 10yrs younger then he is and a good/smart QB.

Plus, they have such an easy schedule they'll have to try NOT to make the playoffs.

BCWWF 10-22-2004 04:40 AM

I think the Jets will lose on Sunday, but thats not a knock on their team at all. I still think they are one of the top teams in the AFC. The media will call them a fluke if they lose, but BCWWF wont.

Loose Cannon 10-22-2004 03:33 PM

Jets can get some redemtion for us with a win Sunday. Big time Redemtion cause they'll end the streak.

BCWWF 10-22-2004 04:56 PM

That would totally be a kick to the groin of Boston if the Jets won this weekend, which really would be kind of funny.

Y2Ant 10-22-2004 10:20 PM

Yeah, with the way the baseball went, it just makes sense that the Jets are the team to end the streak.

Of course it probably won't happen, but it will be funny if it does.
