Daunte Culpepper is pretty good at football

IMO

RoXer 10-18-2004 12:12 AM

:Y:

MoRcHeEbA 10-18-2004 12:18 AM

yeah, I don't see how people don't consider him an early fav for mvp of the league.

MoRcHeEbA 10-18-2004 12:19 AM

probably because they'll joke by the end of the year anyways

what kind of joke?

YOUR Hero 10-18-2004 12:24 AM

Benjamin Disraeli was an Imperialist swine.

MoRcHeEbA 10-18-2004 12:36 AM

choke I meant... good work morcheeba

BCWWF 10-18-2004 02:05 AM

Choke meaning win first six games of the year and then lose to all four teams who only have four wins and miss the playoffs. Theres really no way the Vikes miss the playoffs at least this year.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-18-2004 02:56 AM

he threw for 425 yards and 5 TDs tonight and his QB rating went down

thats kinda good

BabyHugger 10-18-2004 03:15 AM

He has Randy Moss. He is still the man though.

BCWWF 10-18-2004 04:44 AM

Randy Moss sat the whole second half. He has Jerome Wiggins and Marcus Robinson though.

The Dub 10-18-2004 03:38 PM

The Saints have the league's worst defense as well

Rain Man 10-18-2004 06:29 PM

I'm a little worried about the Vikings for some reason.. I mean for the past two NFC champiionships the Eagles played the Bucs in the regular season and beat them pretty bad. And they played the Panthers in the regular season and beat them pretty good. And looked what happened. The Eagles already beat the Vikings on Monday night couple of weeks ago, so you never know. But the Vikings always bomb in the post season.. But I'm still a little shaky

And their defense sucks too

Supreme Olajuwon 10-18-2004 08:13 PM

no one gives a shit about the Eagles

and the fact that an Eagles fan can actually talk about another team choking is hilarious

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-18-2004 09:11 PM

I am still waiting to see what happens once T.O has a bad game, see how he reacts.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-18-2004 09:12 PM

Also, Culpepper is pretty good, yeah I guess I can agree with that

road doggy dogg 10-19-2004 03:44 PM

Culpepper's pretty good, yeah. Even better for my fantasy teams since he's won me like 4 weeks already

But yeah, he's the man. If he could just learn to hold onto the ball a bit more he would be greatness.

The Outlaw 10-20-2004 01:56 AM

Yep.

BCWWF 10-20-2004 02:35 AM

Culpepper does fumble a lot, but like he said in a recent interview, the stat doesn't mean much. He's lost less than half of the fumbles, and if you watched the game last Sunday, he got a fumble because the center hiked it to his feet. Shit like that. Also a few years ago, he fumbled on the three or something, and then picked it up, ran through the line and scored the winning touchdown. So in the long run I don't think that they are THAT detrimental. They aren't good though.

Y2Ant 10-20-2004 02:54 PM

Daunte Culpepper is the man.

YOUR Hero 10-21-2004 03:39 PM

never heard of him.

BCWWF 10-21-2004 04:13 PM

He has small hands.

Rain Man 10-21-2004 06:26 PM

Any QB could be good if they have Randy Moss.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-21-2004 06:43 PM

Are you saying Steve Young was only good because he had Jerry Rice?

Peyton Manning is only good because he has Marvin Harrison?

Are you honestly that retarded?

Y2Ant 10-21-2004 06:45 PM

Yeah, it's a shame that McNabb doesn't have a good WR to throw to really :'(

Gonzo 10-21-2004 10:27 PM

McNabb isn't as good as Culpepper or Manning.

He is good, granted, but in an entirely different way.

Randy Moss had 2 catches in the last game, I think Culpepper still had like 4 or 5 passing TDs, Solid Argument though

Culpepper is "on fire" right now but I dunno I don't think he will keep up with this pace. He is still one of the top QBs in the NFL though, I would put him up there with the "elites"

Gonzo 10-21-2004 10:37 PM

For some reason I never consider Culpepper among the top QB's though, maybe because the Vikings always trail off every year. :-\

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-21-2004 10:53 PM

I don't know, Sean Sallsbury (or whatever) had a pretty good thing on ESPN about Dante, showing how in his early years he was always looking Moss. Not really going through his reads or anything and just throwing it up there for Moss, but now he is doing a much better going through his progressions. He is spreading the ball around a lot more, and already has a ridiculous amount of TD passes.

I still can't stand the Vikings though, must be those Purple jerseys or something..I dunno

Gonzo 10-21-2004 10:55 PM

I think guys like Culpepper and Manning are excellent when they stand in the pocket and make plays. Granted Culpepper is athletic enough to be able to have to move around if need be.

McNabb I think relies heavily on being mobile and moving to make a play. I don't think he is as pure a pocket passer as those two.

BCWWF 10-21-2004 11:47 PM

For some reason I still don't look at Culpepper on the same level as Manning or Brady or those elite guys. Its just weird to think of somebody being that good on the worlds state after watching them develop.

At the same time though, I think Culpepper is a much better passer than McNabb. That doesn't neccessarily mean a much better quarterback though, just passer.

BabyHugger 10-22-2004 01:13 AM

I think its good that the colored QBs are getting a fair try.

AlphaBean 10-22-2004 01:51 AM

Pep is the greatest. And the whole "losing to the Eagles" thing is tainted, because no matter how bad the Vikings D is, it was blown calls and penalties that decided the outcome of that game.

Plus, the whole "putting a loser against Kearse, and then having Kearse say his play had nothing to do with playing a loser."

Anyway, Nobody has ever thrown for 5 TDs thrice in a season. Suck on that.

BCWWF 10-22-2004 01:52 AM

Theres quite a few in the league now. Culpepper-Vick-McNabb-Brooks-Carter is the Jags QB? (I cant believe I forgot his name right now)

Supreme Olajuwon 10-22-2004 02:22 AM

Leftwich

road doggy dogg 10-22-2004 02:30 AM

Culpepper has a good O-line, a good running game, and good receivers. That being said, he's still a really good quarterback.

BabyHugger 10-22-2004 02:34 AM

Hey RDD ready to see the Lions get waxed on Sunday?

road doggy dogg 10-22-2004 02:35 AM

Depends on if Williams and Hakim play or not

BCWWF 10-22-2004 04:33 AM

Who do the Lions play again? Harrington is my starting QB for the game...It better be somebody shitty!!!!!
