I was playing Madden 2005 and I went to load my franchise file, and it said it was corrupted so I couldn't open it. I looked on the memory card and all the other Madden data was fine, but there was on file called "corrupted file" which was obviously my franchise. anyone know how this happened or how I can get it back to normal?

Did you remove the memory card any point during loading or saving? that could have corrupted it but I had a save file for MGS2 and it randomly corrupt itself so maybe its just the memory cards fault and not yours.

mines is an official one and its never corrupted data since BUT sometimes i have to take it out and put it in again cos the PS2 says theres no memory card when there is.

So I think its kinda just as bad now as it was before.

I have had that problem before....there was no way to fix it for me. Well atleast I didnt try. I just deleted the thing and started all over again. Then again it wasn madden. I have had a few saved files do that but sadly I dont know what they were. They were some files that were on the card for a long time. I was just happy that it wasnt my GTA3 or Vice City files.

thats' most likely why, don't use third party memory cards

Happened to me as well and it never happened with any other game including Madden 2003 but it happened with 2005 for some reason.I just started over

I say ditto with pretty much every third party console equipment. You have no idea how much trouble I have had with third party controllers and multi-taps. Sure they may be cheaper, but they sucked the bit that makes it work when sucking down the price.
