In Two Weeks WE Have Seen...
 

Not to make a big deal,but the last two weeks of RAW had things come out of nowhere (Mick Foley & The Rock).Is it good that they hid it from us? I liked it.It Makes you think the show is more exciting? :y: :?: :n:

Yeah, but we all know Rock won't last for long before he is off making another movie. And Foley has seen much better days.

Speaking of Foley, I saw like the tail end of Conefedetial the other day. And they had a match with Mankind vs. Micheals. Now that was wrestling. Seeing that match reminded showed me Foley and Micheals are just shells of their former selves (with Foley being a big fat shell, he looks afwul now).

They are all going to be popping up in the next couple of months.

They will all disapear again after Wrestlemania 20.

It's good that I was actually surprised for a change. I'm even more surprised that WWE was able to keep the internet from leaking out that Foley and Rock would show up on Raw.

Its good in the sense that it adds that element of 'anything can happen on RAW', but in reality that a bad thing to promote, because lets face it, this kinda stuff wont be happening week after week.

It kinda goes back to the problems created by the Monday Night Wars/Attitude era. Fans were conditioned to expect so much that at some point you hit a wall and cant give any more, and as a result fans become disappointed and turn away from the product.

IMO, its usually a better idea to try to make money off something like Rock returning to RAW, which could be done with a week or two of promotion.

But there's no right or wrong answer with this issue, they created a special moment, Rock was awesome, the crowd was hot, so its all good.

I don't care who is a shell of there former self or not, Mick is as good on the mic as ever. Personally, I never know how much I miss seeing The Rock on WWE television until he shows his face. When his music hit it was awesome, I miss the days where I guy would just come out on the show and you'd have no idea it was comming. That made it intresting week in and week out. I like being entertained, I can care less what is good for the long haul in wrestling, it's not my job to deside that, I basically will enjoy things on an episode by episode basis.

I think it's great that they kept these returns secrets. Stuff like this really makes people want to watch more, and if the WWE can power this into surprising storylines that keep us hooked and wanting to return the next week to find out what happens, that'll pull them out of their slump.

Foley still kicks ass.

Not to nitpick, but isn't the title of the thread "In two weeks we have seen?" I would assume that in itself would be a spoiler, telling us what's happened over the last two weeks. At least, that's how I read it.

Unexpected stuff like that always makes the show more enjoyable.

He always returns, the crowd pop and start chanting his name, he always does the "Finally..." thing... and then buries more talent like La Resistance... just so that, within a month or two (or possibly 4 in this case) he'll be gone.

Here's my problem with it. I didn't find out till reading this thread that the Rock showed up. I have no reason to watch Raw unless I'm at home doing nothing. This past monday I figured since Raw is terrible I'm going to go out and do something. Sure enough, the one Raw I miss something actually happened. Makes me want to watch the next couple Raw's until the Rock is gone then I'll be doing other stuff Monday nights.
