Lenny Lane with the WWE now?

Since when did he sign? I saw him on Heat last night. Lenny is the man.

Hired Hitman 11-01-2004 11:43 AM

He reminds me of Chris Jericho... ... ... or maybe it was just the hair.

Nark Order 11-01-2004 01:05 PM

Anyone remember back in WCW when Malenko challenged Jericho for the cruiserweight champonship. 'Jericho' came out and wrestled in the mask of Juvetud Guerrerra (Because he has previously won a mask vs hair match). Dean Malenko won the match and thought he had won the belt but then the man took the mask off and it was really Lenny Lane. I laughed my ass off for an hour. Lenny is the man.

Also, when did Lenny leave TNA??

loopydate 11-01-2004 02:40 PM

I don't think he's with the company. They used Danny Doring about three weeks ago, and he hasn't been back since.

El Santo 11-01-2004 04:51 PM

Lenny's cool. He was the only highlight of the WCW between the time of the WCW glory days and the time it finally imploded under Vince Russo. (If I remember correctly, he an Lodi were also responsible for introducing Miss Hancock --- a.k.a. Stacy Keibler --- to the world.) It's weird how they canned his character due to protests, given how many other wrestlers use the same gimmick. I wonder if Rico has to put up with that stuff.

Hey, Heat-watchers: did the announcers manage to mention his history with WCW during the match? I'm guessing Al Snow wasn't there to call him "Lenny Babaganoush."

Who is Lenny Lane? I never saw much wCw so didn't have the chance to see him. But judging from what the rest of you have said, he's a pretty good worker?

I haven't seen much of him either, but he was a good worker from what I've heard, and he was in an entertaining team with Lodi called "The Rainbow Express". They wore glitter and sucked lollipops.

I don't think Lenny has signed a contract, but if he did it could lead to entertaining situations. Jonathan Coachman called Lenny Lane "Chris Jericho's brother" on Heat, so that's sort of an interesting remark.

I hope Lenny Lane does sign a contract, because he would be a great asset to the company, RAW or SmackDown!.

Thanks :)

Eh, he said he looked like he could be Jericho's brother...

And Rainbow Express was extremely talented and entertaining for those of you that never saw TNA in it's early stages. lol, they kissed each others hand when they tagged in.

Nope. Todd and Coach were pretty complimentary, though. La Res let him get in some good offense, so he and Ken Anderson looked good.

It'd be cool to see Doring and Roadkill in WWE, with Tazz's endorsement

CHICKENS!

6to1 11-01-2004 10:25 PM

he looked like he gained alot of weight, since his wcw days.

My Final Heaven 11-01-2004 10:37 PM

This is the best news i've heard all day! :D Lenny Lane is in my Top 10 of favorite wrestlers.

Oh OK, I can't see Heat, but I heard that's what Coach said from reports.

In TNA, Lenny Lane & Bruce formed a new version of the Rainbow Express. I think there could be a place on SmackDown! for such a tag team.

KayfabeMan 11-02-2004 04:13 AM

Lenny Lane is a really solid worker. He had entertaining matches left and right, and he can definitely work a lot of gimmicks - especially when working the whole Lenny / Lodi or Lenny / Bruce (get it?) deal. They were a very solid tag team. Both guys are really underrated.

There was such a tag team. It was named Billy & Chuck....

Disturbed316 11-03-2004 04:46 PM

He was also on last week's Heat against La Resistance in a tag match. They kept calling him Chris Jericho's younger borther.

Yes there was, and now they're not around. The Rainbow Express are a fairly established tag team with a gimmick that would get over quite well. With Rico on the roster, they can either feud with him (and Charlie Haas), or join him and have Rico as a singles wrestler or a manager.

Nark Order 11-03-2004 05:09 PM

I think after the whole "Eugene" gimmick, the WWE is going to stay away from major contreversy for the time being...

The Praise Allah thing with the muslim tag team? That's controversy.

Mr. Nerfect 11-03-2004 05:51 PM

I think the WWE could really handle this Muhammad Hassan thng well. I say don't make them heels, but innocent babyfaces. I really hope the WWE doesn't make this one of those "heel says he loves American, but in actuallity he hates it" gimmicks. Make Hassan come out with a cape decorated like the American flag, and maybe let him and Daivari have a feud with La Resistance. Why not have Muhammad and Khasrow win the World Tag Team Championship? They don't need to be a full-time tag team, but they shouldn't try to hide the fact that Daivari can wrestle. I don't see why they can't let Muhammad & Daivari sort of become a wrestler/manager tag team.
