Green Day "American Idiot" album
 

I just picked it up and finished listened to it. It's a great disc. I'm not much of a Green Day fan, but "American Idiot" has some very fun songs on the album. Much better than their earlier stuff. This is a must have for Green Day fans, or for people who's not into Green Day and want to get into their stuff, this album is a good start. :y:

There was a thread about this, probably on page 2 or 3.

But yeah, hot CD. Jesus of Suburbia is awesome, and I like Boulevard of Broken Dreams too. And Novacaine. Lots of songs.

Same sentiments as everyone else re. thread like 2 pages ago but it's okay because this album rules. :love: I disagree with the idea that it's "much better" than their earlier stuff. On the contrary, really. This CD is the first in the while that has started to sound like the grood old Green Day of yesteryear. There are definite aspects of Dookie on this CD, which rules. :love:

I heard a few songs from it. I don't like it very much. Also, I can't stand the voice of the singer. :love:

1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours was my first Green Day cd. I was hooked until Nimrod, that cd sucked.

They have redeemed themselves with this cd. Ranks way up there :D

That's when I lost interest in Green Day is when the album "Nimrod" was released, they were good until that album, I agree "Nimrod" did stink. After "Nimrod" I stopped buying Green Day albums.

I've never even heard a single song off "American Idiot" before I bought it today, I never even heard the title track radio single yet. It's just that I've heard so many good things about it by people talking about it in message boards, reviews in magazines, etc.

I'm glad Green Day is back on track again where they finally belong!!!

Haven't really been a fan since dookie but I saw them live at Voodoo Fest and they kicked ass..

It's a fucking top album. The best of the year for me. Nimrod had a few decent tunes but overall it wasn't their best work. I personally loved Warning but American Idiot surpasses that. Holiday is a cool song, Jesus of Suburbia is brilliant as too is American Idiot and I really like Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The whole album, in general is jsut brilliant.

Green Day rule all.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams is probably the worst song on the album, simply because it sounds like an Avril Lavigne song.

Otherwise, not a bad song on the album :love:

Boulevard of Broken Dreams is an old song that they put on their new disc didn’t they? I remember hearing it a while ago I think, when did they record the song, anyone know?

It's ok, nothing special. The album, I mean.

I like it - they get a little Motley Crue in places (probably why I like it)
