Where was Flair?

I'm watching "The Monday Night War," and the re-formation of the Four Horsemen in Greenville. Ric Flair is in the ring, filled with passion, and the people are going nuts. It's 1998. Where was Flair before the re-formation? Okay wait, now Flair's calling Bischoff a liar, a cheat, and a son-of-a-bitch. What's that all about?

Basically, in March of 1998, Ric Flair filed a lawsuit against WCW...I can't remember, but I think it had something to do with the fact that Bischoff wasn't using him and he was just sitting around, doing nothing and collecting a paycheck, but I might be mistaken nor do I know the outcome of the lawsuit if it even made it to court

Are you sure that lawsuit wasn't the time were flair was attending his sons wrestling match and bischoff said he was gonna sue him for not going to a show?

IIRC, that was almost it.

Flair decided he wanted to go to the game, Bischoff let Flair go, and Flair sued them for firing him for that reason. Like Helms said, don't recall if it even went to court or not - but, he was gone for that, and they left him out of a lot of stuff that happened during that time (video game, etc...).

Flair made the return on that Nitro, and it became a classic moment for WCW.

Was this before or after he started wearing knee pads on his shins?

Disturbed316 11-12-2004 01:51 PM

Flair has always worn his knee pads on his shins.

Why? That drives me nuts.

Gerard 11-13-2004 02:19 PM

He stated on byte this he wears his kneepads down low to "hide his skinny calves".
