AW CRAP. SAVAGE

We've been told that after debuting at Victory Road, Randy Savage called up the TNA office today and gave his notice.

According to a source backstage at the Impact!! taping, Savage claimed that TNA officials had an unsafe working environment due to what happened with Hogan backstage at the PPV on Sunday.

We've been told that Hogan walked up to Savage Sunday night prior to the PPV and told him that they could step out in the parking lot and settle differences. Savage ignored the comment and walked away.

The Turning Point PPV was originally scheduled to feature Randy Savage & Monty Brown & AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett & The Outsiders in the main event on 12/5, but with Savage pulling out, that is out the window.

Oh Well, he is an old past it hasbeen

Corkscrewed 11-09-2004 09:10 PM

Eh.. he has enough Slim Jims to survive.

Loose Cannon 11-09-2004 09:11 PM

yea, out of all the guys that have come in, I least cared about Savage. Now they can push to get the Stinger.

Azriel 11-09-2004 09:12 PM

I thought him and Hogan were buddies.

Loose Cannon 11-09-2004 09:13 PM

Savage has hated Hogan ever since Savage claimed Hogan ruined his marriage. Savage is delusional BTW. :y:

Volchok 11-09-2004 09:17 PM

Savage is annoying.. im sorry but i hated him in WCW and those damn Slim Jim commercials... gah...

Azriel 11-09-2004 09:17 PM

To Elizabeth? How so?

John la Rock 11-09-2004 09:17 PM

Ya Hogan and Savage hate each others guts

Azriel 11-09-2004 09:19 PM

I would love, just for old times sake, to see them go at it one more time, like Bret and HBK, or Flair and Sting

Gone Mad 11-09-2004 09:23 PM

Unsafe environment? Savage is a rapper, man! Life every day is unsafe when you're a rapper. He's not keepin' it real. "MACHO MAN DOT COM ON YOUR CD-ROM. OOOHHH YEAh!"

..what an idiot.

Innovator 11-09-2004 09:26 PM

They have someone on the roster who can fill in for Savage...Nevermore

It would be the greatest nursing home match since Hogan vs. Piper part 234320.

Azriel 11-09-2004 09:33 PM

What can I say, I'm a sucker for nostalgia.

Aussie Skier 11-09-2004 10:00 PM

they can now bring in hogan, but make him a face i suppose....

Loose Cannon 11-09-2004 10:02 PM

I wasn't talking about Raven filling the spot BTW. ;) 3 words.

And as for the Savage/Hogan situation. Basically Savage blamed Hogan twice for his failed marriages. I was talking about the most recent one with Gorgeous George, but he also blamed Hogan for failure with Liz. And I think he blamed Hogan for wrecking his career.

KayfabeMan 11-09-2004 10:12 PM

Earlier today Randy Savage issued this statement via a pre-recorded "audio message" / rap on his website:

TNA brought me up to Orlan-do
Dropped a few grand on the Macho Man yo
My appearance was supposed to be a slam dunk
But Hulk Hogan called me out as a real big punk

Ran in for the finish of the pay-per-view
One appearance, and my career there's through
Nash got better, and Hall stayed sober
But I'm still crazy and my career's over

I ruined a big match for both Brown and AJ
But it's all cool, 'cause I got a big payday
I shot my mouth off about a man like Bollea
And then ran off when it was time to pay-ah

So goodbye TNA, I never meant to hurt thee
I'm just afraid that Hogan will call me out and hurt me
Ohhhhhh yeaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! DIG IT!!!

Mr. JL 11-09-2004 10:22 PM

Savage is a bitch. And TNA made a really bad decision allowing Hogan hang around in the back when he is not on the PPV card. Hogan just ruined something for TNA. Savage is still a bitch for pulling out though.

Savage clearly has no respect for TNA, the wrestlers and wrestling fans. He's worried about a guy who moves slower than the Pope and probally hits as hard as Mother Teresa.

Savage is a PUNK.

Bazooka 11-09-2004 10:35 PM

LC, this is exactly like I said was going to happen back in that post I made.

Missed the first two matches but I'll tell you the best match was, AJ styles vs Petey Williams was a sweet match; I loved it.

Also seeing the Outsiders was awesome and Macho Man back, which was reminiscent of his return in WCW awhile back where it just showed his feet walking, then he came in the ring with a two by four in a battle royal. If history plays out Macho Man isn't comming back to TNA, as he never showed up in WCW after that big comeback he made in WCW.

Back on topic, great news DDP is back in TNA.

Something about PDD joining TNA but LC edited my post for whatever reason

Ah well.

The CyNick 11-09-2004 10:45 PM

I read that the crowd was down for the last TV taping, that should tell you all you need to know about their chances.

Going with guys that haven't drawn money in 5 years was always going to be a bad idea.

Shadow 11-09-2004 10:58 PM

Oh well...guess there's always DDP.

Mr. JL 11-09-2004 11:05 PM

I suppose it does not matter who they bring in...

They need a national TV deal on a week night if they want to be successful.

They need some new, fresh ideas.

You can have all the good TV slots you want, but what good is it if your main angle in NWO Version 2,312,999 in its weakest form yet?

I was hoping the Victory Road PPV would bring in some new major angle, or put over one of their rising stars, but it did neither.

I understand what they are trying to do, but it just wont work.

KayfabeMan 11-10-2004 12:01 AM

Hogan didn't ruin anything.

Savage calls him out, he answers - period. If Savage didn't want to fight Hogan, he should have kept his fucking mouth shut, plain and simple. Hogan called him back so to speak, and Savage didn't want to answer the phone.

Also, I don't think TNA's crowd numbers have anything to do with who they are using - as much as their location and the way things are ran. When you are based inside of a TV studio, in one city (which really doesn't have a big population of fans in or around it itself) it's hard to freaking draw anyone but tourists and the most diehard of fans. In addition to that, their tapings and PPV's are rather disorganized when it comes to going to it / getting in.

now you got it everything that goes wrong in savages life is hogans fault. as long as hogan does not expect to get paid i would love to see hogan hang out at the show.

LK 11-10-2004 02:43 AM

This is why I worry for TNA's future. Spending laods of money on a guy like Savage that don't give a damn and are there purely for the money and don't care about improving the product.

CosaNostra 11-10-2004 05:47 AM

Savage is a head case. TNA should never have bothered with him in the first place.

SuperSlim 11-10-2004 07:28 AM

Savage just lost heaves of respect. :nono:

.44 Magdalene 11-10-2004 08:12 AM

Savage be losin' his street cred, yo.

Word to your mother.

Shaggy 11-10-2004 09:54 AM

LOL this is just funny....I was thinking Savage was gonna be around and I was surprised to see him at Victory Road. I guess we shouldnt hope to much since he is gone now.

The Mackem 11-10-2004 01:53 PM

There's a lesson for TNA in all of this...
