Yeah I think Andre beat him then sold the belt to Dibiase he was stripped of the title therefore causing the big tournament at WM 4.

You're talking about Saturday Nights Main Event. Andre the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan in Indianapolis, I think a fake referee was involved. Andre gave the belt to Ted DiBiase, not sold. Then Jack Tunney held up the title, leading up the the tournament that legendkiller mentioned.

Um, I'm not really 100% sure on this subject, though. Kinda before my time. :-\

I remember seeing the whole thing. Dave Hebner was supposed too ref it but he dissapered so his twin brother Earl refereed. Andre pinned Hogan even though Hogan's shoulder were not down. Andre gave the belt to Dibiasi. so Hebner screwed Hogan long before he screwed Bret

DiBiase paid Andre to give him the belt.

Then of course DiBiase went on to lose in the finals of the tournament at Wrestlemania 4 to Randy Savage.

which he was supposed to win, but Savage threw a fit.

Meh. I remember wrestling kicking more ass than ever during Savage's reign.
