It's about time it came out, should be pretty good!

Have it. Damn thing taking too long to validate. Can't play it. Getting ready to trade it in for Doom 3. Fucking pirates.

Beaten about a third of it already. Had my CD key for about a year now, so its worth it.

Just got the gravity gun. GOOD TIMESSSSS.

Its taken me several hours of hassle and I am still not running the fucking thing.

This is a disasterous release. The servers are too slow, and every time I log onto Steam I get some shitty update that I can't avoid. I paid £25 for this game - I want to play it.

Hmm I guess it was to my benefit to be fucked over with this ATI Coupon since Decenmber. Since I already preloaded the game before today I guess I just missed the bullet.

And Steam (IMO) is a wonderful idea and has been running smoothly for me for a very long time. Its a precautionary measure, and it keeps everything organized.

Sorry to all that are having problems. Its worth the hassle.

Doom 3 was terrible. I need to pick this up soon.

It also struggled to handle the traffic that came with todays release, and even went down at one point, pissing off the rest of us who have spent hours just trying to get online and register a single player game that shouldn't even need the internet.

It looked amazing.

Companies are not going to buy enough server space just so they can support people for the first day or week. After the next few days, the need for all this server space will eventually die down.

Pretty sick they couldn't even put in a multiplayer with it and just gave you CS:Source. I would have loved to killed people with the gravity gun.

I've been waiting 6 Years for this stupid game, and I cant play it.

Ok this game is pretty fucking awesome. uhh thats pretty much all I have to say about it at the moment.

I just got the gravity gun. I can EASILY say that this is the best game I have ever played. SO much fun.

Ok, I got the game verified this morning and have been playing it since I got home.

Oh my GOD Valve only make up for the problems with Steam by making sure that the wait wasn't wasted. This game is unbelievably good. Fuck Halo 2, this is the best FPS game of the year by far.

The game is so god damned godlike.....

Halo 2 blows compared to what this game offers and what the mods will offer.

Valve has just earned the right to fill all the pages I have left in my mental book of awesomeness.

Just played it. The install time and the loading times suck horribly, but the game is pure awesomeness so far.

I bought it, and I played it..I hated HL One, but everyone was hyping this one up so much..

Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but I'd rather stick with Halo 2. Can't stand this one either.

This game is getting mad creepy now. Insane Priests are cool though.

If my computer were even close to good enough to run this game, I may think of picking it up.

Yep, about half way through the game now, definitely the best game ever made.

The Priest in Ravenholm is awesome.

Just beat the game. Holy crap the last two levels are so much fun. You have NO idea. They are unbelievably easy, but I think the sheer power that is given to you is enough for you to forget that.

The outro is awesome too. Love it.

Just barely getting to the gravity gun part. Game is still reeking of awesomeness.

I actually bought this game today, first game i've bought and not downloaded since medal of honor allied assult.

cant wait to get single player going, then up on multiplayer

we should get a tpww tourenment going or something if enough people have this game.

There's no HL2 themed multiplayer KK, just a full graphical overhaul of Counterstrike.

I beat it yesterday (took my time). Holy crap that game was sweet. Every time I felt like it was going to get boring they threw something new at me. I never played the original HL, so I'm going to play through HL: Source now. Even on the first few levels it seems much harder than HL2 was.

Anyway I'm getting sidetracked.....

Controlling a small army of Ant Lions is probably the coolest thing I've ever done in a first person shooter.

It's been reported that the code is still present for regular multiplayer, but a menu item is just not present for it. A mod for regular HL2 multiplayer has already been released, with the only problem being that users are having to make maps to play it. I'm sure in a little while it'll be just as good.

Valve is releasing the full SDK at the end of the week, as well as a "surprise". I am willing to bet that surprise is the official HL2DM multiplayer

That is what I wanted. Seriously. I can play Counterstrike a little, but that I could play all the time.

Oh yeah. 32 person deathmatch with good ping time is wonderful. This just makes the whole wait worth it for me. Honestly.
