Ok, I had second row seats at the Smackdown Holla Holla Holla House
Show Tonight in Syracuse, and check out what happened!
Ok, tag title match, Hardcore Holly/Charlie Haas v. Kenzo
Suzuki/Dupree hardcore rules. So I didn't catch Rene Dupree doing
anything wrong, but mid way through the match Holly approaches him
right in front of us on the outside of the ring and just slams him on
the head with a ridiculously stiff chairshot (chair dented, the whole
9 yards). So Dupree is laying in the fetal position next to the ring
and Holly comes over and just starts nailing him repeatedly with some
of the hardest punches I've ever seen. When Holly gets off him,
Dupree's left eye and all of the surrounding area is RIDICULOUSLY
swollen. Dupree gets up and walks over to get his belt, Suzuki makes
the pin in the ring and it's over. But, as Dupree is grabbing the
belt, Holly is going towards him at which point Rene notices and
starts running to the locker room, not in a work type of way but in a
I fear for my life type of way, and Holly runs after. Haas and Suzuki
eventually leave. A little while later, some of th security around the
ring are talking along with Fit Finley and apparently Dupree and Holly
also got in a fight backstage. I don't know if that's true, but I can
vouch for everything that happened other than the backstage stuff, as
it was right in front of me.

Hardcore has some fucking problems if this is true.

God Holly's a complete ass.

If that's true, shame on Holly. It wouldn't surprise me to see him released because of that. It would honestly be ironic that the guy who claims everyone should pay their dues, gets fired because he worked stiff with a new kid.

I usually defend Holly. Through his push, through his matches, through his crowd reactions (which are great), and even through Matt Cappotelli, Carlito Caribbean Cool and all the injuries he has either sustained or put people through (supposedly) in his career. But if Hardcore really did beat up on that kid, I really think enough is enough. No matter how big you think you are or how much you've put into the business yuo can't go hurting people, even if they did do something. I can't think of ONE thing other than pull out a gun/knife that Rene could have said or done that warrants an attack like that.

I hope this is just people getting too carried away with Hardcore's reputation, and complimenting Rene's acting skills (which are superb). I honestly wouldn't lose any sleep if Rene, Kenzo and/or Charlie Haas got some retribution for that. Hell, it would be great if Hiroko and Fifi got their kicks in. If Holly did do all that, he jeoprodised all those men's/women's/dog's careers by possibly throwing the ENTIRE match out of whack.

I am found myself filled with disgust while writing that. I can't say I'll ever wrestle and I can't image what guys like Hardcore Holly have to go through to stay in shape and get into the ring on more than a weekly basis, and I certainly can't understand the frustration guys like Hardcore Holly have felt getting excellent fan reactions at times, while putting on decent matches and being loyal to the comapny for as long as you have to have seen them all come and go while you're the only guy that hasn't really shifted on the roster, and will probably either be wrestling in mid-card matches your entire life, or working as a road agent and follwoing the same hectic schedules, or getting a part-time job at McDonald's or Burger King.

I respect Holly's passion, and I can't say I've ever stuck with anything other than breathing for as long as he has wrestling, and more importantly the WWE, and at times I'd even call myself a Hardcore Bob (Holly mark), but I CANNOT for the life of me support his actions during that match and after it if he did what was reported.

I sincerely hope that he didn't. Not only for Rene's sake. Not only for my sake as a wrestling fan and a Hardcore fan, but for Hardcore himself.

Probably thought "another young guy that hasn't paid his dues".

Holly is probably the only pro wrestler I have no respect for whatsoever. This has merely reinforced that. From what I see, the guy only picks on younger, less experienced workers. What a sad wanker.

Uh, yeah ok. Was it even hardcore rules? And even if it were, Holly was obvioulsy working way to stiff, even for a hardcore match. Given his relative experience, he should have known better. I'm betting that he did, only he chose to be a prick about it; to work the young new kid over and teach him a lesson.

I admit that it was kind of douchey for Holly to do. But does anybody know why he did it? I mean don't be so quick to jump on how bad Holly is without knowing the whole entire story. I believe what happened in the ring and I even believe that the fight took place backstage. But just cause Holly did that doesn't really make him a Hardcore dick. I mean Rene could have done something to piss him off before the match or something. I don't know if he did. The creator of this thread doesn't know nobody knows except for the people working in the WWE. I am not trying to jump onto the Holly bandwagon. And I certainly will not condone his behavior. I'm just saying that there might be more to it that we don't know. But, either way Hardcore is a dick.

I hear you. I know that we might not get the whole picture. But with Holly's history, it isn't that hard to fill in the blanks. If Dupree did something to piss him off, that is still no justification for what he did. He should have chosen to act more professionally and deal with it in the back instead of the ring where he is supposed to be working.

I know that I was pointing that out. No matter what I still think Holly is a dick for doing what he's doing. Like I said before Even if Dupree did something or said something to piss him off that still doesn't give him any right to beat him up. If that's the case I think he should be suspended from WWE and must take Anger Management classes before coming back to WWE.

Unless he assraped bobcore's dead grandma in a dark match, there's very little I could imagine doing that would make Bobcore seem justified. It was unprofessional of him, and he was most certainly a dick.

Put him in a hardcore match with the WWE's newest developmental talent, Butterbean. And tell him Bean hasn't paid his dues.

I also saw the story on PWBTS.com BTW. It seems legitimate, and PWBTS says that there was indeed a fight backstage after the match.

I think he's just a bitter old man who's thinks he should be a World Champ because he's been in the business so long. So he takes out his frustration on rookies

Holly.... my god, is this guy just the biggest piece of shit on the earth. He just craves attention and he needs it, just like he needs a title and some help at that. Maybe Holly should pay his dues and find some talent before he goes off on young talent again. But like usual, Vince doesn't seem to know what works in his company and what hurts it, in this case though is what is hurting the talent.

Enough said, he is waste of human space and there is no point in defending him. Ever. (And hell, I usually defend even those I hate, he doesn't deserve it)

3 and now injuring Rene

He should move to raw so when he complains about paying Dues HHH has him fired.

We should seriously try to get him fired...like we should spread the word that he's a dick and nobody should give him any pops or heat either way. Just dead silence wherever he goes.

I can guarantee that when Holly was defending himself to Vince, he used the words "Ron" and "Artest" at least once.

I just find it annoying that by the time Rene's Holly's age, provided his sticks with wrestling, which I really wouldn't be too surprised if he left the WWE for a safer working environment. But anyway, provided that Rene stcisk with the WWE, he will have more experience (I think) than Hardcore Holly when he reaches his age. What is Holly's problem? Dupree is WWE Tag Team Champion, it's not like he's anywhere near the WWE Championship at this point.

I really hope this is all just a HUGE misunderstanding, but if it is, I hate to say this, but I think Hardcore should either get intensive therapy, or needs to be released, and I don't think I've ever once said a man needs to be released.

And then he asked for a month off with full pay so he could work on his rap album.
