SmackDOWN's "Big Show Thanksgiving"
 

Not that it's saying much, but this is probably the best Thanksgiving segment SD has had in its five plus years.

You had Big Show giving a humorous promo, the announcers poking fun at Show eating similar to the fat jokes we tend to lay on Show, an ECW chant, Joy Giovanni (never a bad sight), and even a possible new feud started between Luther Reigns and Show (Luther impressed me with some nice mic skills).

So all in all, it was pretty darn cool for an obligatory Thanksgiving segment... better than another stupid Gravy Bowl or something like that.

haha, I was thinking of making a similar thread when watching it. You're 100% right as it was a great segment. Joy is just :drool: and Show is hillarious. You could tell some of that segment wasn't scripted, and I love things like that.

And yes, how great was Reigns on the mic there? Best promo he has given so far and with that, he proved to me, that he has great potential to be a top guy. He had your attention during that whole promo and stressed the points he has to stress. Should be a very cool feud, Now all they have to do is have Luther go over.

Reigns could have been funnier than Show

"Give me some of that turkey...AND SOME MASHED POTATOES!"

and the ECW chant, all in all a good segment.

"And some green peas! I've had some of those!"

i was ready to see Tazz lock a tazzmission to reigns

but yeah i guess they can't do that, they have to focus on the fact that show and reigns are feuding :(

So big show goes from fueding with and beating angle to fueding with one of his cronies, yet again the wwe stories make perfect sense..............

Yeah I thought it was entertaining. Show is good at doing funny promos.

I was expecting Show to try and make Luther turn face for a second there.

I know, Luther is a heel, but about half the crowd was symathising with him, and if you're sympathizing with the heel, you're not booing him as much. Anyone else see that woman with glasses in the front row applaud some of his comments? I probably would have done the same thing.

And yeah, I was waiting for a Tazzmission. At least it was Tazz that started the food fight. When Show picked up the turkey, did anyone expect a hog-tying like he described in his story with his sister's boyfriend?
