hand held mp3 player...

want to get a new one, the Rio I have always had problems when I used it.

All I hear is "Ipod, Ipod, Ipod" is that the way to go?

I don't need to hold a million songs, want something small, easy to carry/clip on (use at the gym) that I don't have to worry about skipping.

also, ease of use (usb port?) would be nice.

Mini Ipod would probably suit you best. Hold 5 gig of music I think but is nice and small and won't skip if your jogging or any of that

the iPod Mini seems like a bad deal...I mnean I put a couple that have a gig more space and are still cheaper...

But look into these and see what works for you?

find something with a solid state drive if your going to be doing alot of running with it.
Something with a regular hard drive in it will end up damaging the heads/disk with all the jumping around :)

I have a Creative Zen Xtra, it's about the size of an iPod.
Has a 30GB Hard Drive and was cheaper than an iPod. Also came with a belt clip/case, and i've never had a problem with it skipping.
