wrestlings What If #1 Owen Hart

What If owen hart was still alive and working for wwe where would he be ranked on the roster? How would you book him? I personaly wouldve gotten rid of the blue Blazer gimmick it was, in my opinon killing his career (no pun intended)

DO you think Owen would be a main eventer or a current pusher? Title holder or jobber? Id book a solid feud feud with Kurt Angle , Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit.

spunkynut 12-02-2004 07:53 AM

He would probably be stuck in mid-card hell ala Y2J

nWo 4 Life 12-02-2004 08:28 AM

He would probably be on SmackDown involved with Angle and Eddie somehow, maybe Cena

Dave Youell 12-02-2004 08:30 AM

The Blue Blazer gimmick was given to him as punishment for not doing an angle involved adultery, so I would guess he would of had that gimmick for a while. Of course he was getting over with this so he would of gotten quite over with the fans in this new (old) gimmick

I predict that once his contract ran out he would of then gone to WCW after realising that they would never push him the way they could of because of what happened with Bret.

In WCW he would be pushed at first and then mid carded until WCW's death. Notible fueds with Bret and probably guys like Raven and DDP. After WCW's death and the fact that he made a ton of money out of Ted Turner I would like to think that he and Bret would keep the tradition of the dungeon alive and maybe run a wrestling school in Calgary.

Gone Mad 12-02-2004 09:05 AM

As I mentioned before that if Owen was alive, he would fued with Jericho, but now I seriously doubt it. As you take into account how much raunchier the show was even after he passed away and it would have been one of two things:

1. Off to WCW to join Bret and then as the company breaks up, Owen would teach at a wrestling school like the good old days and maybe give HBK some competition.

2. He would be in the position that Stevie Richards, Val Venus, and D-Lo Brown faced as he would be stuck in Velocity hell. As most of you know, they don't really take advantage of their talent so they would put another Canadian on that show. When they realize he is that good, they place him on Raw for abit and then switches him to Smackdown.

123 kid 12-02-2004 10:38 AM

I think he'd be an Upper Midcarder/Main Eventer on Raw! Feuding with the likes of Edge, Christian, HBK. I believe he would have been a world champion by now as well.

Mr. JL 12-02-2004 10:45 AM

I don't know.

I could see Owen being involved in five star matches with guys like Angle, Michaels, Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Kanyon, RVD, Snow, Hardy, Regal, Flair, Benjamin....

Shaggy 12-02-2004 11:48 AM

Id have to say that he would be on Smackdown fighting for the US title.

BigDaddyCool 12-02-2004 12:27 PM

He would probably be going back and for with HHH for the Heavywieght Championship because from my understanding they were friends and HHH doesn't mind jobbing to friends that much.

Either that, or he would be in some angle with Bret Hart, because if Owen was still alive, I believe that it would have been easier to get Bret back.

Evil Vito 12-02-2004 02:39 PM

I honestly think he would have retired by this point.

if not, I wouldn't be surprised if it was him winniung the Title at Mania instead of Benoit.

Either that, or he'd be another one of the misused talents that ended up in TNA.

Yashamaga 12-02-2004 03:24 PM

He would have been a big star, probably a 2-3 time champ by now

Fuck, you fuckers are Cynical.

Ok, this is what I think:

Owen would have continued to job around for a bit as Blue Blazer. But he would take it in good stride, go back to being Owen Hart, and after a bit, he would have sided WWE during the Invasion. As he was with WCW, Bret Hart would have signed on with WWE and sided with WCW because Owen and Bret never got along during story lines. This would have added some much needed stregth to WCW/ECW even if Bret never wrestler because of his injuries. At then End of the angle, Bret would have came too, and helped WWE win because he and his brother rose above it or some gay crap like that.

Then the Hart Foundation would have been started up again, Bulldog (he came back to WWE before he died right?) Also Lance Storm and Beniot would have joined up as well, because they all fit right in. Bret would have taken an "Evolution Ric Flair" role, Owen would be the leader, Beniot and Storm would have been lackies. And they would be on Raw facing off against Evolution as faces, and maybe gotten revenge on Goldberg as well.

Owen would have picked up the title a few times also.

Disturbed316 12-02-2004 04:35 PM

Dunno, between then and now, but I could have seen him on Smackdown in main event. Would have won the WWE title a couple of times also.

I like "what if"s. I can't say much about Owen, but bring more of these and I'll post in em like a madman.

I plan on it ..probably a couple a week I have a few What ifs in my head....if you ave some Ideas send them to me

Bigg Mike 12-02-2004 09:42 PM

Owen would've been a steady midcarder in the WWF, and then eventually would have jumped ship to WCW around when Jarrett left when his contract was up. They probably would've pushed him into a feud with Bret, then he'd fizzle out and wind up jobbing to Goldberg, Hogan, and Nash.
Eventually, Russo would start another NWO, this one being New World Owen. Russo would've joined Owen with Ed Leslie and Disco Inferno, and they would've feuded with NWO Versions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9. Why? Because Vinny Ru is a fucking genius. Then, when Vince buys WCW, Owen would've wound up being one of the people coming over with no direction whatsoever and have minor pushes every now and then. Chances are he'd either be with TNA or fighting for the U.S. Title on Smackdown.
Basically, right around where he should be, a solid mid carder in the WWE.

Oh I'm sorry, is that the wrong answer?
I mean he'd won the WWE Title 4 times! Woo! Kewl lol omg lmao. Owen rulez.

Owen does indeed rule..if benoit, edge and JBL along with many others could make it, Owen definitely could have.

Aw, you're so cute.

You think Vince would let Owen carry the title? You think Owen would be in the WWE main event? What other people from the Invasion are high up right now or have help the WWE World Title?
There have been people before him that deserved it more then he did and haven't held the strap.

And there have been other who deserved it less and have.

Bigg Mike 12-02-2004 10:42 PM

Correct.

But Owen would have never made it to World Champ, he would have inevitably left for WCW, been pushed then squashed. He'd be in limbo, till the WWF bought WCW and their contracts, and he would have been in the unsuccessful Invasion angle. Right now he'd either be released from his contract working for NWA or in the mid card somewhere.

The One 12-02-2004 10:45 PM

Owen Hart wouldn't be wrestling right now. Period. He wasn't shy about the fact that he was more or less waiting for his contract to wear down (which there wasn't much time left on it to my knowledge) so that he could retire. He was always very good with money and had saved alot. He wanted to retire before his body started to take the toll of his work.

And no he NEVER would have been World Champion. He was no where near a Main Event push at the time of his death, and the only decent push he had had for the previous two years was the fued with Austin over the IC Title. Owen wasn't as charismatic as his borther, and quite frankly wasn't anywhere near as over as Hitman was.

I don't know why when a wrestler dies everyone jumps on the "What ifs"...honestly let it go. It is a thing of great saddness, and Owen was (from what I have heard) one of the best wrestlers backstage...but he wasn't main event material. And that's not a bad thing. Some people have "it" and some don't. And then there are those that don't have "it" but are given pushes anyway...Owen earned his spot in the industry, but if he wasn't given the World Title in the 12 years leading up to his death, why would they give it to him in the 5 fallowing it?

Again I am not dogging on Owen, because quite frankly I loved the guy, but I don't think that Vince had any intentions of giving him the World Title...ever...

Lara Emily 12-03-2004 12:26 AM

I agree with the One that Owen would have been retired by now almost no doubt, but I disgaree that he didn't have "it" though and I do feel he was World Title Material, just that he would have retired before it was the right time to give it to him.

Azriel 12-03-2004 12:37 AM

I remember HHH saying that Owen was actually supposed to be getting "The Game" gimmick, so who knows where that would have gone.

The Game gimmick was a complete accident and he just said it once during a promo and it stuck and that was after Owen's death, so i'm not quite sure how that's possible

RemyRed 12-03-2004 04:15 PM

He would've went to WCW with Jarrett since they were good friends. During the invasion angle he would've been in that last Survivor Series match that they had. Afterward I would've booked some feuds with Kurt Angle over the WWE Championship's No. 1 Contendor spot, then given him a title match against Brock Lezner. That's how I would've booked him, but I think the WWE would have him as Blue Blazer, putting over The Hurricane in a super hero vs super villan style feud (Which is the type of feud I wanted to see between The Hurricane and Simon Dean if he would've been using his Nova gimmick)
