A feud with Akio would be so damn sweet.

Getting so Ultimo on TV = good

Getting to see Ultimo job on TV (possibly without the mask) = bad

When i saw Ultimo DRagon as the subject of this thread i knew i would see Funky's name under the last reply thing. But if they actually use him this time, then good, having him just appear on TV isn't a good thing if he's just appearing on Velocity and getting buried.

Do you know if they still want him to take off the mask?

All joking aside, it'll be good to see him on TV.

Hopefully he'll get a decent push. Maybe even the Cruiserweight Championship. Funaki's win gives me hope. :y:

My predictions for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship (after Survivor Series) saw Spike Dudley losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to a random face at Armageddon (check), followed up by the random face losing the belt at the Royal Rumble to the Ultimo Dragon (looks quite possible).

Then I pictured Funaki & Akio joining Ultimo as his disciples or something, in an attempt to rid themselves of the "joke" they've made of themselves. This could lead to Ultimo Dragon vs. Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 21. Leading up to it, on SmackDown!, they could show matches from the men's past, possibly the ones where Ultimo beat Mysterio cleanly, on SmackDown! (in the place of a normal cruiserweight match).

I don't know what role Ultimo played in Japan and WCW, but in the WWE I can see him as that wrestler who demands glory without actually demanding it. He's cocky, but he doesn't sound cocky. It just shows through his work. He knows he's good, he know's he's better, and it just sort of just shines through him.

This could lead to him becomming a successful heel in the WWE, and really reviving the cruiserweight division. I could even see Ultimo Dragon refusing to compete on Velocity. Eventually Funaki & Akio break-away from each other, leading to them drifting away from Ultimo Dragon. This leads to feuds with each man one after the other, and eventually Akio wins the belt. This leads to Funaki vs. Akio in a respect match sort of thing.

I don't know how it would play out on television, but I really think these three men really need more exposure.

Anyone who has seen my recent curse filled rants on Rajah about this subject, knows that I am an enoormous Ultimo mark. I don't know what has come over me but I have a good feeling about this.

P.S. What ever happened to that incredibly badass mask Ultimo showed off before his debut. When he came out with the shiny rainbow outfit I was like wtf

I have no problem with Ultimo dressing a bit humourously, but as long as he keeps that aura that no one in the world can get in the ring and make him change. As soon as his skills become a joke, I will be really pissed off.
