I would like to say Im sorry (Spoiler for those who havent seen Raw.)

I said this in my topic about having a sign. I would like to say how sorry Im am for the stupid fucks in my state using the what chants. To me and I know some others it kinda fuck up the Haasad debut. I knew it was gonna draw heat but not dumbas heat. And with ath I say Im sorry. :(

Mr. Nerfect 12-14-2004 05:20 PM

No need to apologize. I haven't seen RAW yet, but apparently the segment turned out to be gold. I'm REALLY looking forward to it. RAW (and the WWE) could really start to rise up in terms of quality soon.

Deceit 12-14-2004 05:53 PM

Yeah, I was really angry about those idiots chanting what, but it turned out to be a real nice segment after the heat built up a bit.

loopydate 12-14-2004 05:54 PM

At least they weren't chanting something more insulting. Although, somebody needs to sit wrestling fans down and tell them that Austin's gone, and (if there's a God) he ain't comin' back.

Thriller 12-14-2004 07:58 PM

I don't see how its a bad thing.Fans pay there hard earned money to have fun there fore though some what out of date there free to do so.

I suppose that's somewhat true, but fans doing the wave at summerslam was disgraceful. I was ashamed to be in the audience that night.

I two was in the crowd at summerslam and am not ashamed to say i was one of many weho did the wave.

1) WWE gave us a crap match which lasted close to 30 minutes.Going back and watching the DVD the wave didnt start till the last5- 10 minutes of the match.

2)i think its far less disrespectful to do a wave than say chant boring during a match.WWE did a good job covering up the wave what could they say if u heard boring chants all the way through

Yeah... that'd get a wave alright.

A wave of anger. A wave of boredome. A wave period.

I don't mean this in a disrespcting way at all, but could you have put on a better match?

Of course it's not gonig to be Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero, but they two guys put in all of their efforts, and have done what they can for the company. You do not need to applaude the two guys, but seriously, I think they get the message with a dead crowd, insulting them like that may have prevented Toronto from being on the WWE's "soon-to-return-to" list. And just Toronto's luck Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero is main eventing for the Undisputed Championship around that time.

I believe fans booing is something unclassy. Yes they have a right, but so do people who go to a tennis game. Booing Eugene at Summerslam made me sick for some reason. No you don't need to get on your fett and buy Eugene merchandise, but booing and screwing up Nick Dinsmore's future is something I cannot find myself agreeing with.

Stickman 12-14-2004 09:28 PM

The wave and the booing of Eugene is just Toronto's way of saying to the WWE, "Give us a better product"

CYCLOPTERSAURUS 12-14-2004 09:31 PM

booing and the wave is the fans' way of telling McMahon that whatever he's doing is wrong. The booing of Eugene should tell him that the fans were getting sick of the angle, and the wave at Summerslam should tell him that they don't want to see JBL and/or Undertaker in the title scene. The problem is that McMahon seems to take this kind of thing as a personal attack instead of something to learn from.

But the "what" thing was just irritating. All it did was disrupt the promo. It doesn't make any sense, and Austin is gone. But the promo was still excellent, and the fans have the right to say or chant whatever the hell they want, I just personally found it a little distracting.

Mr. Nerfect 12-14-2004 09:45 PM

I can understand that the fans were sick of Eugene getting pushed, and Taker/JBL in the title scene, but why not just start chants of "We Want Nick!" or "Benoit for Champion!" or just something like that. It spells the title, and doesn't completely ruin these guys' times.

Bo 12-14-2004 10:00 PM

Also on this I forgot to tape the event last night anyone know how I could get a copy/ download/ etc of the show last night.

Actually Raw is coming back to Toronto in January.

Yeah. But I wouldn't be surprised if it will be a while before you get a PPV. Of course you may get WrestleMania 2006, knowing WWE. ;)

You live in Ontario?

Gouda 12-16-2004 12:07 AM

Fans can't just conform and cheer for a match they don't like. They have the right to tell Vince "We do not like the product and we want a change".

If people were actually cheering the match then Undertaker/JBL could have been stretched out over even more months with.... oh wait. Never mind.

V 12-16-2004 12:16 AM

i was having a shit load of fun doing the wave at summerslam, god forbid we cheer for who we want to cheer, and boo who we want to boo, instead of being mindless drones who cheer every face and boo every heel.
Who cares about slightly removing insignificant value from segments or matches. the crowd doesn't have THAT much of an effect. (when trying to ruin a match they don't... they do have an effect when trying to hype it) You're there to have fun and you payed money so fucking do what you want and enjoy it.

Gouda 12-16-2004 12:27 AM

I remember the WCW PPV they had in Toronto. Chanting Goldberg sucks. It was a dream come true for me at the time since I hated Goldberg.

Couldn't attend Summerslam though... too bad... Probably won't go to Raw either.

V 12-16-2004 12:53 AM

i love how we booed the rock out of our city at WMX8, priceless

toronto fans have minds of their own, and apparently it makes us bizarro land :nono:

Londoner 12-17-2004 06:46 AM

Alienoid-Chanting 'we want Benoit' during some match that doesn't have Benoit in it, i would say is much more disrespectful than saying we want a better product.

LK 12-17-2004 07:27 AM

The stupid "What" chants just seemed to take something away from the segment. It was still a good segment. At least seemed to stop when Foley said "now you're really pissing me off" and the manger dude started talking. It was a real decent segment though and I look forward to see more of Hassan.
