Rate The Wrestler - Day 117 - Konnan
Hey yo, and welcome back to RTW. Yesterday, Tully Blanchard's top 10 placement attracted more attention that the Sgt. Slaughter, who scored an 82. He would be slightly disappointed with you maggots, but it's a good score nonetheless.
Today's wrestler is all about rolling clotheslines and played out WCW catchphrases. He's been a member of the nWo, the Filthy Animals (where he had a successful tag team with Rey Mysterio Jr.), a rapper and currently a member of the 3 Live Kru (and a co-holder of the TNA tag titles with BG James). He is Konnan. 8.4: Love the thug gimmicks

Since he's responsible for bringing lucha-libre to ECW and the U.S, I'll give him an 8
WE BOUTY BOUTY AND ROUDY ROUDY |
7, would be an 8 but he annoyed me from 2000 until WCW's death.

Konnan sucks. |
<font color=goldenrod>8.3
Loved his gimmick. I also loved his in-ring work (and still do), great on the mic even if it's always the same schpiel (sp?). Though he did annoy me at times and he can get a bit repetetive, hence why I didn't give him an 8.5</font> |
you know they lost the TNA tag titles right...(FYI)
but I give him a 7 he started off cool but then just got really really repetitive always doing and saying the same thing like a broken record. |
7.8
I really like Konnan, he was a good superstar, and if you ever get a chance check out his work from Mexico, it's some GREAT stuff. I feel sometimes he was pushed when he shouldn't have been, and then ignored when he had the chance to make it big. Plus he is VERY much responsible for Lucha-Libre in WCW...more or less got Eric to give jobs to Rey, Juvi, and Psicosis...which we are all VERY thankful for...his in ring skills wern't anything to wonderful, but he had good presence and his gimmick was great. I got pumped before every one of his matches...hell I still do. |

Best thing about him is his mic skills... well at least were, I haven't seen him since WCW |
I think you might mean former co tag team champion with BG James. DIdn't Team Canada win them back at Point? ANyways from what what I've seen 6.5.
|
7 He has good skills
Had a decent match w/ Jushin Lyger at Slamboree '96 that I remember |
In TNA he is slow, like he moves slowly in the ring

Ok, this is really sad...I know the name but I can't come up with anything that he did to impress me...he is just not that memorable to me.
I am going to give him the benifit of the doubt though that he didn't/doesn't total suck and give him a 5.5 |
