Yeah, so when did you become a wrestling fan? Poll to come in a second. :y:

Nervous Ferret 12-21-2004 09:50 PM

*waits for poll*

Nervous Ferret 12-21-2004 09:52 PM

Wow. it really only does take a second.

Loose Cannon 12-21-2004 09:52 PM

yeah, so Wrestlemania 1 was 1985. So anything before that choose #1

Nervous Ferret 12-21-2004 09:54 PM

I didn't know it was a public poll. :o

Innovator 12-21-2004 09:55 PM

1991, so 90's

Loose Cannon 12-21-2004 09:55 PM

Myself was around 87

Nervous Ferret 12-21-2004 09:57 PM

early 2004 :o :o :o :o :o

V 12-21-2004 09:59 PM

i started watching right after the wcw invasion, seems to be when people say wrestling went downhill =\

Anybody Thrilla 12-21-2004 10:07 PM

I've been a wrestling fan for as long as I rememeber. I think I was 5 in like 1988, so I voted 80's.

mike627 12-21-2004 10:11 PM

I have been a fan since the Horsemen were in their prime.

Marcyo 12-21-2004 10:17 PM

I've been a fan since summer 2003.

Volchok 12-21-2004 10:19 PM

i started watching around the time the monday before the Buried Alive match between Austin and Taker at Rockbottom.. so December 98'.

Xero 12-21-2004 10:19 PM

I've been a fan since mid-late 1996, because the first wrestling event I went to was just before WrestleMania 13 in 1997, and I was obviously a fan for a while before that.

Head 12-21-2004 10:22 PM

A couple of weeks before Wrestlemania I.

SuperSlim 12-21-2004 10:33 PM

oh crap I picked 90's but I think late 89 would still count as 90's right?

The Answer 12-21-2004 11:29 PM

Since I was 2. So mid eighties

Nowhere Man 12-21-2004 11:33 PM

Since the summer of '98.

Savio 12-21-2004 11:34 PM

I started watching weekly in 98 but catched Livewire back in like 96.

Blue Demon 12-21-2004 11:56 PM

I've been watching since 89

Gouda 12-21-2004 11:56 PM

Well... wrestling has always been a part of my family cause my Grandfather watched it and my father watched it and my older brother watched it...

I never really went out of my way to actually watch it every week though. I knew the characters and everything but I didn't watch it unless someone else was watching it and I had nothing else to do.

When I first started to really watch it... I remember it exactly. We had ordered a PPV.... Summerslam I believe... Undertaker vs. Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl where Paul Bearer turned on Taker. After that I really started to watch wrestling.

So I'll select 90s.

MVP 12-22-2004 12:02 AM

Let's see I was born in 87.

From around age 4-7 all I knew about wrestling was to cheer for Hulk Hogan cause he was what wrestling was all about. I watched every once and while always marking out for Bret Hart and Undertaker. Then in 96 when the nWo formed and Hogan turned and all that crap, and I became a huge WCW fan and started watching every chance I got, and it's been that way ever since.

Mike the Metal Ed 12-22-2004 12:12 AM

January 1999.

Boondock Saint 12-22-2004 12:17 AM

February-ish 99. I recall the first RAW I saw had Rock vs. Mankind in a Ladder match for the title. First PPV I got was WM XV

Hardkore Kidd J 12-22-2004 12:21 AM

Around the time of the Triple H - Stepenie Drive Thru chapel.

Zen v.W.o. 12-22-2004 12:31 AM

Around 1986. I have wrestlemania, the very first one on tape, although the condition is now crappy and it's in black and white.
I also recall being hooked in by Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Mr. Wonderful, along with Bob Orton. I recall them beating up some kid on a street or something for a promo, or whatever. Piper was the man, and Piper's Pit ruled all.
Saturday Night Main Event, I recall it all.

Fignuts 12-22-2004 12:51 AM

80's

Wrestlemania IV

Loose Cannon 12-22-2004 01:06 AM

yeah, Saturday night was the greatest. You have to remember, back then there was no wrestling program on at nights. So when the annual SNME program came it was like a huge event.

And the worst for me back then was not understanding what PPV was. I remember crying in 89 because I thought the Rumble was going to be on USA Network and my mom told me it was on a channel we didn't have. That really brought me down :'(

DaveWadding 12-22-2004 01:11 AM

Late 1992.

Corkscrewed 12-22-2004 01:29 AM

Since I was four, which would translate to around 1988. Back when Earthquake and Tugboat and Hogan were cool. :D

VJW 12-22-2004 01:31 AM

I started watching in March 2002. The first thing I recall seeing is Kane talking about being a monster and than he got beat up by the NWO after a match. X-Pac took his mask off if my memory serves me correctly.

Mister Sinister 12-22-2004 01:47 AM

I watch Wrestling when I was kid, in the very early 90's, however, about 94, I stopped watching wrestling until Early 98, which is why I voted for that instead of the earier

Kapoutman 12-22-2004 03:53 AM

The first show I ever saw was Wrestlemania 1 itself, so I chose the second option.

LK 12-22-2004 03:56 AM

Around WM 12 which was in 96 so the 90's for me.

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 12-22-2004 04:28 AM

Early 90's... Although I missed the entire Attitude era.

Dave Youell 12-22-2004 07:33 AM

Since 92

Shaggy 12-22-2004 09:45 AM

I started watching in the late 80's because my grandma got me into it when I was really young.

Londoner 12-22-2004 09:55 AM

Why was the poll closed?Anyway i first became a fan in feb 2000, i remember watching raw for the first time with my cousin and being hyped up about the no way out ppv, really looking forward to the mick foley match(which turned out to be shit, apart from the last 10 minutes of it or so) i think my cousin taped it for me cos i didnt get sky back then, but wrestling was actually the thing that made me want to get sky.

I wonder where that no way out 2000 tape has gone, ive lost about 10 wrestling tapes that i recorded, including my fav one, summerslam 2000, i have no idea where they went...

Londoner 12-22-2004 09:57 AM

My bad, just realised i wasnt signed in, thats why i couldn't vote!

Goulet 12-22-2004 02:34 PM

1988
