Finisher Names
 

OK, this is just something I thought I'd do. Just post names for finishers that either haven't been named, or could use a new name.

Just something like: Gene Snitsky's Pump Handle Slam, "I Snit On Your Grave".

Some ideas for unnamed moves are Garrison Cade's Flying Elbow, Shawn Michaels' Flying Elbow, Eddie Guerrero's Frog Splash, Akio's Yang Time (the name doesn't fit the character), Jerry Lawler's Piledriver, Batista's Sit-Down Powerbomb (Batista Bomb is so generic), Batista's Spinebuster, Shelton's Exploder Suplex to Powerslam move, etc.

Back when gimmicks ran rampant and hardly anybody went by their real names, it was very easy to come up with a name for finishers. However, since wrestling seems to be getting more and more "realistic", I can see why most moves do go unnamed.

That has to be the best name for his move I've ever heard.

And yeah, a lot of moves go by generic names, but I still think there are a few out there that could use names.

Hardcore Holly - The Due Payer
Carlito - Cool-Aid
Heidenreich - Poetic Justice

Snitsky's Pump Handle Slam-The Back Ally.

Back when Billy Gunn used the Sleeper Hold Slam as a finisher I used to call it the Nightmare.

And when Triple H did his neckbreaker I would call it the Game Breaker.

I like the name Snit Happens for Snitsky's finisher

Eddie Guerrero's Frog Splash = The Lowrider

Lita's DDT = Kiss of Death

JBL's Clothesline from Hell = The Bottom Line
JBL's Last Call = Hostile Take Over

Luther Reigns's Falling Slam/Emerald Fusion = Reign Fall

Tyson Tomko's neckbreaker = the Tomahawk

How about "Parousia" for Jesus' eventual finisher?

I like "The Reigns of Pain" for Luther Reigns' Reverse Spinning Neckbreaker.

"Mr. Exploder" for Shelton Benjamin's Exploder Powerslam type move?

Ring Around the Rosey for Rosey's version of the Catatonic?

Maybe the "Shining Hero" for Hurricane's Shining Enziguri type move?

I don't know why, but I think Nip and Tuck for Simon Dean. :wtf:

Batista could use a pun-like move like "Maleviolence" for the Demon Bomb. Or he could call it the "Last Judgment".

If Orton keeps that rope-aided DDT, he can call it the "Ortopsy". Maybe he can call his backbreaker the "Ortasm"?

And I will mark out if Tazz or Michael Cole calls the F-U a "Standing Fireman's Carry Takeover", which is basically what it is. He really needs to start doing the DVD again.

Tajiri's Kick to the Head - Your Head a Splode.

FU(cause the name sucks... the move does too) - The Shrug Off.

Unprettier(cause it doesn't really fit him anymore) - The Charisma Climax.

Clothline From Hell- The Good Investment.

Batista's spinebuster is currently my favourite move, if it was named i'd be a happy little buffalo

Why don't you just call the moves by their scientific names?

I think some moves are better off nameless. It makes the wrestler seem like he's/she's there to kick ass, and not put on a gimmick (even if just kicking ass without a gimmick is his/her gimmick).

Tajiri's kick to the head should just be the buzzsaw kick.

Batista's powerbomb shouldn't be the Batista bomb. Just a sit out powerbomb.

I like Innovator's idea of "here comes the heat" but don't rename the frogsplash, but maybe have them hype up the frogsplash like they did the F5. "Here comes the heat! (as he's climbing the turnbuckles) Frogsplash from Latino Heat! Forget about it!"

The Clothesline from Hell NEEDS a new name. This isn't like the pedigree where somehow the name outlasted the gimmick. The Stock Market Crash sounds a little gimmicky, yet somehow the Closing Bell doesn't sound too gimmicky for my taste.

As of Maven's finisher... I have no idea what the crap he does, but let's call it The Blue Chipper.

Nip/Tuck would be an awesome name for Dean's finisher.

I've got a great idea...you know that move where Hulk Hogan runs off the ropes and then jumps up in the air before having his leg land on his oponite's neck...what if we called it...and stay with me now...a Leg Drop...eh? Fucking brilliant!

He doesn't have one at the moment, but he has had a bunch in ECW. I think he'll probably use a neckbreaker or DDT variation in the WWE, though. :-\

What if when Rosey was a Super Hero In Training (S.H.I.T) They called his finisher The Fan. It basically sells it self.
