Lol, I remember when their new owner wanted to change the name to Los Angeles to get more people involved in the team but they couldn't get rid of Anaheim because of some contract with the city. Thats pretty bad though.

all the Spanish speaking people of that area will now call the team Los Los Angeles Angeles de Anaheim

Anyway, thats the goal is to become the Los Angeles Angels eventually, but there is a clause in the contract that requires them to be the Anaheim Angels because that helps Anaheim get more tourists and they rely on that. So pretty much as soon as they can they are planning on changing it to the LA Angels to broaded the fan base outside of Anaheim.

Its because the LA people are tired of the Dodgers sucking.

The Dodgers are like third in the MLB in attendance

They've already removed the "Anaheim" from the website and all their logos.

Anaheim is now suing the team, trying to get a temporary restraining order against them using the new name.

And BCWWF, I think they also might be trying to get people to come earlier than the 3rd inning and stay past the 7th inning... LA folks tend to stay for only about 4 innings before jetting.
