I hate Orton

I hate that queer. He sucks in the ring.

juanker 01-18-2005 03:17 PM

Good for you

SuperSlim 01-18-2005 03:17 PM

he doesn't suck in the ring. It's just that his finisher now sucks cause it looks crappy. But he is better then quite a few guys in that ring. But he is really annoying and irritating. And does sometimes look rather gay.

Sickboy 01-18-2005 03:19 PM

I agree with BDC, I don't understand why most guys cum when they hear Orton's name

Heyman 01-18-2005 03:23 PM

Orton is better off being a heel.

What the WWE must do however (IMO), is have the fans turn on Orton (a la Edge, Rock).

To have Orton do something deliberately heelish, would be detrimental for his character IMO. I dunno.

SuperSlim 01-18-2005 03:31 PM

heel Orton, cocky heel Orton would be nice.

Corkscrewed 01-18-2005 03:52 PM

Most characters suck as faces and rule as heels. The great ones don't. The averages are :-\ as faces.

Ortons sucks all together. He is lackluster as a heel, and good awful as a face.

Sepholio 01-18-2005 04:04 PM

Orton should just stick with the legend killer gimmick, he was awesome with that.

Plus, he needs a new finisher. The RKO is overdone, as is the look on his face when he does it. It's like the "OH LOOK AT ME OVERSELL A DIAMOND CUTTER WITH A BIG GRIN ON MY FACE" look. Makes me laugh more so than it makes me believe its a credible finisher.

BigDaddyCool 01-18-2005 04:07 PM

Then again, I guess this is what happens when a character is pushed way to hard, way to fast. Some guys can be pushed fast because they have that it factor. Like how Big Show as the Gaint in WCW could win the title his first night because he looked as if a could do it. Or how Goldberg was pushed just to dominate everything. Or how Brock looked, nevermind Brock was 25 at the time, Brock had all the physical tools that age wasn't a factor. Or Angle getting the belt fast made since because he was an Olympic Gold medalist with a broken friggin' neck.

But Orton, all he had going from him was that he is 3rd generation wrestler from a not so noticeble family. I mean the Ortons aren't even on par with the Von Erich, Harts, Rhodes or dare say Miavia clan.

Wow, you just pointed out a new reason to hate Orton. And now that I think about it, that shit eating grin he gets on his face before his lame diamond cutter does piss me off.

SuperSlim 01-18-2005 04:11 PM

just say it... everythin about Orton pisses you off. His gay grin, his gay pose, his gay look.

The only thing I like is that he is from the best state in the union, but then it pisses me off that he is from gay ass St. Louis instead of Kansas City.

Also, he reminds me, in a bad way, of my friend Luke, who happens to be from St. Louis and is tall, lanky and akward looking in the way Orton is. But at least Luke is funny as shit.

MVP 01-18-2005 07:57 PM

Orton can put on a decent match when he tries, but ever since his face turn they've been pretty bad; as are his promos. As a face, his promos are too typical and corny compared to the great ones he cut as a heel. Hopefully WWE decides to turn Orton heel and put him against Undertaker at Mania, not sure how they could go about doing that though.

lackluster as a heel..not sure about that. I think as a heel, orton was pretty good, he used to get me pretty pissed off :)

as a face, he is downright awful. The worst thing with orton as a face is that stupid pose he does. It is such an arrogant pose, that if he did it as a heel, it would go over great. But as a face, it makes me think...you tosser

When he was a heel, he got "I'm bored" heat.

Orton needs back in Evolution.R-K-O move rules though when he hits it right

BigDaddyCool 01-18-2005 08:47 PM

Orton needs to die

yea seriously.. I was getting sick of edge, but then heel_turn and now he's one of my fav guys on raw.

Then ther's people like Jericho and Cena (my two favs right now   ) who are great as Faces.

The best RKO ever was when either Benoit or Jericho had someone else in a boston crap submission. I'm pretty sure it was Jericho holding Batista.

ANYWAYS, Randy runs by and goes for the RKO and COMPLETELY misses Jericho, falls on his ass, looks around real quick, gets up, runs across the ring, bounces off the ropes, and goes for the RKO in the exact same fashion as the previous one. I cracked up at that.

Actually, thats the only RKO I ever liked :/

That hasn't happened since he feuded with Foley, though. This was also the period where he hadn't named the move yet. Even though I'm a DDP mark, I was fine with other wrestlers using a version of a finisher Page made famous (Twist of Fate), but with DDP now out of retirement, Orton should look for a new finisher. His leap into it is original, but two hands and a "snap" effect are a must. Using one arm while slapping the opponent's head with the other, hardly looks impressive.

I didn't say anything about Edge or Christian needing to die, did I? They are chick magnets from what I hear.

The CyNick 01-18-2005 10:26 PM

He just needs to watch tapes of what he was doing from March to July of this past year, and go back to doing that.

He's an awesome heel, he's just a really crappy face.

Savio 01-18-2005 10:39 PM

I forgot why people liked him...Was it because of LC?

No,Orton as a heel ruled. As a face he isn't at that level yet because as a face he loses his cockiness and is limited on the mic

He could have been a good face.

IF BOOKED RIGHT!!!!!

Mayo 01-18-2005 11:26 PM

I still don't mind Orton, although he was much better as a face. Almost anybody is better as a heel than a face, but I don't think Randy is doing too badly. The WWE fucked up his push though so that may have messed up how well he could have ended up.

Lara Emily 01-18-2005 11:29 PM

He's done one good RKO ever that was at Summerslam, incidently that was also his best match ever, no coincidence that he was in there with Benoit.

The Answer 01-19-2005 01:01 AM

The latest talk regarding WrestleMania 21 is Triple H defending the World Heavyweight Title against Batista. There are also plans for a “legend vs. legend killer” interbrand match with Undertaker vs. Randy Orton.(front page)

That should help Orton out looks like a heel turn

Mr. Nerfect 01-19-2005 02:02 AM

I personally hope we see Blandy Orton (sorry couldn't resist the cheap pun)win the World Hevayweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. Hear me out, I don't like face Orton, but they need to give ihm something he can parade around until he can turn heel.

I'd personally have Orton beat all the odds at the Rumble, defeat Triple H (maybe with a miscommunicatino between Helmsley and Batista) which then leads to Orton coming out on RAW, and cutting a promo about how he's the greatest ever, etc. Right back to his cocky roots. He can even talk about how when he was down and out after being kicked Evolution, he used the fans to fuel him, but now he's got the World Heavyweight Championship back, he doesn't need them. He prefers to get by on his unmatchable talent.

IF YOU SMELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here comes The Rock! Rocky comes out and says something brief about Orton thanknig the people before he is cut off by Orton going "Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, WOAH! Who in the blue Hell are you?" The Rock goes to reply, but in cuts Orton with "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE!".

This leads to Randy Orton vs. The Rock and Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania. You can either have Triple H win the World Heavyweight Championship back from Orton with interference from The Rock, or you can have Randy Orton retain the title and have Randy vs. Rock for RAW's World Championship. Either way you're going to have a hot crowd for the match.

Nope. In fact I actually think you once said that "chick magnets" bring in the female audience which in turn leads to male audiences watching to please the female crowd, or something of the like.

Nowhere Man 01-19-2005 02:45 AM

I've never been a big fan of Orton's character, heel or face. I never saw what the allure of the "Legend Killer" gimmick was; a cheap-heat angle (stuck-up prick beats up respected legend) stretched out into an entire character. Oooooh, and he's "cocky!" Aren't all heels by their very nature "cocky?" Hell, even Raven and the Undertaker had inflated egos. I always find it funny that people hate guys who act like total dick-heads in real life, but then wet their pants over fictional characters who do the same thing. The fact that they jobbed out two of my all-time favorite wrestlers 100% clean, with no resolution whatsoever to either angle, when Orton was supposed to be the guy the crowd booed, doesn't help my opinion much.

Orton's face run was/is a total failure, mostly due to the fact that the "renegade face" thing has been played out so many times. Unless you're as talented as Austin used to be or as charismatic as the Rock, it's hard to get the fans behind you when they were chanting "asshole" at you three weeks earlier.

All that being said, though I don't like Orton the character, I do like Orton the wrestler. Granted, he's not exactly the Dynamite Kid in the ring, but he's no Bradshaw either. He's got a great look, and natural charisma (not that you could tell by his promos) That, and I'm generally pre-disposed to root for whoever's going against Hunter (hell, you could cart out A-Train and Kevin Nash and the freakin Gobbledy Gooker, and I'd be cheering just as long as H loses)

So yeah, I'm a little more negative here than positive, but I won't go as far as to say he's worthless.

(this coming from the guy whose title used to be "Legend Killer Killer")

corey99999 01-19-2005 06:12 AM

wwe stuffed him up with his crappy lil title reign. he should have at least held it for 3-4 months or have him hand it to triple h and then they could have main evented wrestlemania

Yeah, I know they are chick magnets, and I remeber saying something like that before, but still the fact is that I never said Edge or Christian, or a Young Shawn Micheals, or who ever else is a chick magnet needs to die, just Orton.

That's true. :y:

I don't think Orton needs to disappear, I just think the WWE has forced him into blandness. It's very easy to blame the company for something, but I honestly don't think Orton is to blame (just yet).

Fox 01-19-2005 06:04 PM

What about this possible match with Undertaker at WrestleMania? I mean, rumors are flying that this is Undertaker's last Mania, and he wants to pass his legacy onto to someone else. Could it be Orton? And if it is, would you all agree with the decision, or do you believe that victory should go to someone more deserving (Benoit, Jericho, Cena, etc)?

By the way, I'm sick of Orton and his goody fucking two-shoes persona. He used to be cool because he looks perfect and because of that he acted like he was God's gift to wrestling kind. Now, he just looks perfect and acts like a fucking high school quarterback, with all his "I'm cool, I'm cool... I'm still cool, right?" looks and eyebrow raises. His character seems so forced and isn't something that the average wrestling fan (the under-crowd) can relate to.

Yeah, totally. Plus, he has like little run-in with all the divas in the back, and they sorta flirt with him, kinda like cheer leaders and such with the qb.

Stacy Kiebler: Good luck, Randy.

(Stacy kisses him on the cheek and walks away sexily)

Randy (to himself): .... maybe I'm not gay...
