Taboo Tuesday

Flyers after RAW this past Monday night in Toronto indicated a full list of upcoming PPV events for 2005. We have already posted this list before, but what wasn't included in the earlier post was if Taboo Tuesday was going to be returning or not. We now know that the event will be coming back and taking place on November 1st, 2005. A location has yet to be announced.

Any thoughts on this?

cool...

Will it be RAW or SmackDown!? I think they should alternate from year to year, to keep it fresh.

I think they should do more than one version of this a year. It keeps things interesting. Sure it must be a little hard on the writers to figure out where to go on who ever wins the polls but it would give them something to do on there feet. And perhaps for once they might put Jericho on the list to fight for the heavyweight title and realize that he gets more votes than anyone.

I dunno, I still think it was all a work.

I still think the Diva search was a work... a very bad work that made me wanna work my own eyes out of their sockets.

If you can make your audience believe they have a say in what you do, then you don't have to take their ideas.

I think they said what they said, the votes came in, they made up random numbers and said that's what the public voted, there is no public poll on their website it only shows a "thank you for voting" page, that could just be a default page to load when they pressed the vote button, how do you know.

Would you give power to YOUR company to a bunch of fans? screw things up for your writers, I know I wouldn't I would take notes for future fueds etc. but I wouldn't let the fans run a show.

Would you give power to YOUR company to a bunch of fans who use the internet?

Hired Hitman 01-21-2005 06:10 AM

No. I wouldn't.

That's debatable. If it was truly a work, more than likely Carmella would have won.

Hired Hitman 01-21-2005 07:07 AM

...Well she did in a way ;)

Afterlife 01-21-2005 11:06 AM

Um....With every arena booing the shit out of Carmella, I think Vinnie decided last minute to switch the winner. And, back to topic, maybe it's just me, but I kinda thot Taboo Tuesday really sucked for air, rigged or otherwise.

Hardkore Kidd J 01-21-2005 11:12 AM

Well this time I think it will do better since they have Taboo Tuesday After the ALCS games this year.

Afterlife 01-21-2005 11:37 AM

What's that got to do with having a line-up of under par matches and a zero interest factor?

Team Sheep 01-21-2005 02:35 PM

I think the WWE had to do what the fans said. Surely it would be illegal otherwise? But I think the votes for the loosers was rigged. For example, I think Benoit was probably the runner up if the votes were properly counted and I don't think Edge was only 6% behind HBK. I think if it was up to the WWE then HBK wouldn't have been in the world title match because of his injury, which was most probably why they switched the cage match to the main event.

Personally I'm not really interested in seeing this type of PPV again, and if it's not free over here in the UK, I won't be ordering.

Was I the only one who noticed that the internet vote's always matched the live crowds reaction??

Isn't that weird??
